The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, July 26 – Nate’s CEO Takeover – Billy the Fake Ally – Jack’s ASAP Marriage

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 26, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will videochat Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) about his new job offer to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but he’ll assure Jill that he’s hired another design firm that can fulfill Sally and Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) obligation to her.

Jill will think this is quite a switch since Victor previously warned her about Sally using a giant dossier, but Victor will suggest that things change.

However, Jill will suspect this is mostly about Victor keeping a close eye on Sally.

At the GCAC, Y&R spoilers say Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will bring Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a new suit that she saw being delivered to him downstairs.

Since Nate will be filling in for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) while they’re out of town, he’ll think he should look the part for his temporary takeover.

At Crimson Lights, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will bump into Nate and taunt him about maneuvering his way into the inner circle.

Nate will also mention hearing about Adam’s desire to absorb Newman Media into his revamped company, but he’ll warn that’s never going to happen.

At Victor’s request, Nate will stop by the Newman ranch, where Victor will warn him not to get too comfortable in the big chair.

Although Victor doesn’t share all the same concerns as Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about Nate, he’ll want to get a few things straight.

Victor will point out that Newman Enterprises will never be led by anyone but a Newman – just in case Nate had some grandiose ideas of running it himself.

At the Abbott house, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will arrive to discuss a new plan with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

The goal will be to stage a public fight between Jack and Billy so that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will buy it.

From there, Billy can make them believe he’s an ally, get on the inside and destroy them from within.

Although Jack will have concerns about putting Billy in this situation, Billy will think he can at least get inside and see what the plan is.

Considering the bad blood he’s had with Jack in the past, Billy won’t think making the fight seem legit will be a problem.

Billy will also suggest that he could provide false info about Jabot’s future – like factory streamlining and product design – to make Ashley and Tucker feel indebted to him.

After Jack asks Billy to promise that he won’t get sucked in for real when he’s offered a position of power, Billy will snap at his brother for not trusting him.

Jack will apologize, but there’ll be more tension since Billy still won’t think Jack truly has faith.

Diane will settle Jack and Billy down since the last thing she needs is another family rift.

Nevertheless, Billy will think they can use their issues for the fake fight and keep each other in check.

Once Billy says he’ll be in touch about the time and place for their upcoming display of anger, he’ll head out.

Diane will hope this is the beginning of the end when it comes to the family feud and will pull Jack into a hug.

In Sally’s suite, she’ll seek Nick’s opinion on Victor’s new offer.

Nick will acknowledge that manipulation is always a possibility with his father, but Sally will see this offer as a positive career move and a way to gain Victor’s favor if she accepts.

At Newman Enterprises, Nick will find Nate looking quite comfortable in the CEO chair, so he’ll start fuming.

Nate will explain that Victoria and Nikki left for an emergency business meeting out of town, so he’ll be holding down the fort in the meantime.

After Nick creates more conflict, Nate will suggest that he’s fallen out of favor with his own family and is taking it out on him.

Once Nate says his drive and ambition got him where he is, he’ll note that Nick’s lack of both got him where he is, too.

Nick will start to deliver a warning, but Nate will just want to be left alone so he can do the job Victoria and Victor want him to do.

Afterward, Sally will bump into Adam at Crimson Lights, so he’ll confess he came by to see her last night before realizing it was a mistake.

Once Sally talks about visiting her sister and grandmother, she’ll admit they thought she should be less harsh about the choice Adam made regarding the baby.

Sally will agree and acknowledge that they both lost something when Ava Spectra didn’t make it.

After talk turns to Adam teaming up with Nick and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), Sally will suggest Adam should try not to see Nick as the enemy.

Adam will feel like Sally’s saying that because she’s in love with Nick, but then he’ll seek confirmation that she’s indeed in love with him.

Although Sally will think her affection is obvious, Adam will note that affection isn’t the same as love.

Adam will also be interested in whether Nick told Sally he loves her, but she’ll warn that he’s veering into rough waters.

After Adam backs off, he’ll want to be careful since they’re making progress in their friendship.

Sally will eventually seek Adam’s opinion on the design division job, so he’ll have the same opinion as Nick about Victor wanting to keep a close eye on her.

Once Nick arrives, Sally will tell him along with Adam that she’s giving Victor the benefit of the doubt.

Pending a conversation with Chloe, Sally will be ready to consider Victor’s job offer.

At the GCAC, Billy will overhear Nate on a phone call with Victoria.

That’ll lead to Billy sarcastically suggesting he’s impressed with Nate’s ability to combine business with pleasure.

Nate will point out that Billy did the same thing with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and will assume jealousy is involved here.

Since Victoria is a remarkable woman, Nate will hint that he’d understand if Billy felt a twinge of loss.

Billy will note that Victoria is the mother of his children, so he’s always going to watch out for her.

Nate will argue that anyone who thinks Victoria needs coddling never really knew her at all.

After Nate saunters out, Audra will find him in the CEO office later. Once Audra compliments Nate for how easily he’s taken the reins, she’ll think the next step is clear.

Audra will urge Nate to solidify his relationship with Victoria and take things to the next level.

Back at the Abbott house, Jack will decide he doesn’t want to wait until September to marry Diane, so he’ll share some huge news.

Although Jack will suggest having a big celebration in the fall, he’ll just want to take Diane to the justice of the peace right now and make her Mrs. Jack Abbott.

Jack will thrill Diane by insisting they should show the world how in love they are and prove that nothing will bring them down.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack and Diane will face more backlash as their plans continue, so stick with us for updates on all the Abbott family chaos.
