The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 3, teases that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will stop by Crimson Lights with Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) in her stroller.
Since Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will suspect something’s up, Mariah will mention an awkward encounter with someone who asked if Aria was her first child.
That left Mariah unsure of what to say since Aria was indeed her first baby, but she also didn’t want to not mention Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) since being his surrogate was such an important time in her life.
Sharon will understand since she sometimes has trouble answering how many children she has since she lost Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes).
However, Sharon will advise Mariah to handle things on a case-by-case basis, so Mariah will be grateful for the guidance.
At Chancellor-Winters, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will bring Lily Winters (Christel Khalil coffee and express concern for Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) since she’s inventing fantasies to explain questions without answers.
Lily will offer support before Daniel brings up their recent night together.
After Lily and Daniel agree they have no regrets, they’ll be on the same page about not rushing into anything and making sure their friendship remains a priority.
Afterward, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will pitch an idea to Lily since he’ll want to properly christen the Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) Jazz Lounge with a party for their dad tonight, so Lily will happily approve.
When Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) visits Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) in jail, he’ll reiterate that he’s willing to marry her anytime and anywhere.
Jack will want to keep visiting Diane, but she’ll feel like he’s living in denial and will nearly walk out on him.
However, Jack will call out that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) is dead and stop Diane in her tracks.
Despite Jack’s effort to put a positive spin on things, Diane will think Jeremy’s death will make things worse for her in the end.
Next, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will go against Diane’s wishes and show up for a visit, so he’ll try to lift her spirits by talking about Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).
Diane will thank Kyle for coming, but she’ll worry about the toll this is taking on his marriage and will feel like there’s a good chance she’ll be locked up indefinitely after a wrongful conviction.
Nevertheless, Kyle will hold out hope that Jack and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) can come through on a way to get her out of jail.
In the park on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will find Summer deep in thought, but she’ll insist she doesn’t mind the company.
Summer will eventually ask questions about Stark’s death – like if he drowned in that lake and if there were witnesses or other physical evidence.
That’ll raise Chance’s suspicions, so he’ll point out that Summer can tell him if she knows something or has learned something new.
Summer will act like she couldn’t possibly know more than the police, so Chance will back off the idea – though he’ll remind her that she can come to him if she sees anyone suspicious or threatening.
Summer will insist that she hasn’t yet, so Chance will note that he’s not trying to put ideas in her head and just wants to help.
After Summer apologizes for snapping at Chance, she’ll note that Daniel thinks she’s losing her mind.
Summer will suggest that maybe she is, but Chance will argue that she’s just in pain and probably shouldn’t be wandering around town alone.
When Daniel shows up, he’ll ask what Summer is doing there again.
Chance will grow curious about whatever incident happened there before, but Summer will downplay it as a family thing and request time alone with Daniel.
After Chance leaves, Summer will push Daniel to just forget everything she said about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) being alive.
Once Summer mentions trying to pry info out of Chance about Jeremy’s death, she’ll slip up by mentioning the stabbing and the scissors.
Daniel will point out that he’s read every news article out there, but none of them have that info since the cops are keeping the details under wraps.
It won’t make sense to Daniel that Summer has info that isn’t public knowledge – unless she had something to do with it.
“I can’t even believe I’m asking you this right now, but did you kill Stark?!” Daniel will ask.
Summer will push Daniel to stop being ridiculous, but she’ll agree to tell the truth once Daniel threatens to get Chance involved.
After Summer pushes Daniel to keep this between them, she’ll admit it’s a matter of life and death.
Summer will insist everything she said last night was true and will assure Daniel that she’s not crazy.
That’ll lead to Summer confessing she heard what happened to Stark straight from the only other person who was there: their mom, who was the one who stabbed him.
Daniel will look like he’s finally starting to believe Summer as she confirms that Phyllis is alive.
On the coffeehouse patio, Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) will talk to Chance about Stark’s body being found outside their jurisdiction, but Chance will feel like the murder happened closer to home and will feel obligated to dig into this.
When Jack finds Chance later, he’ll pressure the detective to get the real answers and exonerate Diane.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance will indeed keep investigating, so stay tuned for updates on what he’ll uncover.
