The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 1, reveals that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will surprise Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) with her Genoa City homecoming, so they’ll kiss and discuss how she needs to put out some Marchetti fires.
Billy will get updates on some issues that have come up between Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) before he lands at the coffeehouse with Chelsea.
There’ll be some talk about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), who’s doing great at his new school and living in the dorms now.
Connor also gave Chelsea his blessing to stop working remotely and spend more time in Genoa City.
Chelsea only gets to see Connor on the weekends anyway since it’s a boarding school, so she’ll fill Billy in on all this news before they head up to her old apartment.
After lovemaking, Billy will open up to Chelsea about Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) schemes and his concerns about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) coming after his job.
Billy will worry about Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) judgment, but he’ll really feel like he’s on the right track at the family company and will plan to do everything he can to keep his position.
At Society, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will catch up with Kyle, who’ll find out Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) is about to get her new hearing aids put on today.
Mariah will fear that they may not work, but Kyle will insist they might and will add that there are still other options to pursue if they don’t.
Once Kyle opens up about his desire to return to the co-CEO position at Jabot, Mariah will grow concerned about him trying to get Billy fired.
Kyle will suggest that he’s not trying to actively undermine Billy, but he’ll feel confident he’ll eventually get the outcome he wants.
Mariah will warn Kyle to proceed with caution before she takes off.
Soon after, Billy will confront Kyle, so he’ll declare that he knows what Kyle’s up to. Billy will insist on clearing the air once and for all!
At the office, Chloe will show Summer some sketches for the spring line, but Summer won’t be happy with them and will think they should start from scratch.
Chloe will argue that these are just the preliminary sketches and will add that they can be further developed, but Summer won’t think they’re good enough.
Although Chloe will push Summer to trust her experience as well as Chelsea’s, Summer will act offended and basically assume that’s a dig about her not knowing as much about fashion.
Nevertheless, Summer will make it clear that she’s in charge of Marchetti and knows what she wants.
Marchetti customers expect a certain look – and they really need to up their game since sales have been down.
Chloe will suspect that Summer has something to prove since she’s running Marchetti without Kyle now and doesn’t want to fail.
Summer will snap that this is just about the spring line and will ultimately end the meeting since they’re getting nowhere.
After Summer storms out, Chelsea will track Chloe down and hear about all the latest drama.
Chloe will rant about Summer being fixated and impossible to please, so she’ll seek Chelsea’s help to calm her down and convince Summer that they know better than she does.
In Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) bed, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will wake up to a text from Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) asking if he’s planning on showing up for work today.
Adam will realize how late it is and will quickly get dressed just before Sally awakens, too.
Sally and Adam will establish that they don’t regret what happened between them last night, but Sally will need some time to process everything.
Once Sally’s alone, she’ll struggle to keep her mind on work as she thinks back to being in Adam’s arms under the covers.
In Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) office, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will bring in Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who’ll rant at their father for faking his mental decline and acting like she’d exploit him.
When Victor plays dumb, Nick will insist the jig is up since he told Victoria about the trap, the drawing and everything they talked about in their last conversation.
Victor will claim he has no idea what they’re talking about and will act like his children are just trying to trick him. Once Nate arrives, Victor will insist on leaving with him and will privately reiterate that Nate’s the only one he can trust.
In the park, Victor will question why they’re there, but Nate will remind Victor that’s where he wanted to go.
After Victor complains about feeling clear one minute and foggy the next, Nate will insist they’ll get to the bottom of it. Victor will gripe about not being able to trust his children since he trained them to be ruthless like him.
Nate will argue that doesn’t apply when it comes to their father and a situation like this, but Victor will disagree and call his kids monsters of his own making.
After Victor argues that Victoria and Adam are trying to take him down, he’ll declare that he’s going to “fire their asses” and leave Nate looking worried.
At the GCAC, Victoria and Nick will spot Adam as he’s coming downstairs. Nick will wonder if Adam just made another pitch to Sally in her suite and will wonder when his brother’s going to let it go.
Adam will shift the focus to Victor’s issues and how he reached out to a professional, so Victoria will grumble about him doing that behind their backs.
After Adam suggests they should band together for Victor’s sake, Victoria and Nick will refuse to let Adam help since Victor doesn’t trust him.
However, Adam will fire back that he’s Victor’s child too and will plan to take action anyway.
Next, Adam will call Dr. Skelton (Stefan Marks) and hope the doctor can stop by when he meets up with Victor for drinks later.
Back with Nick and Victoria, they’ll discuss the two explanations for Victor’s behavior. Victoria will note that one option is that Victor lied to keep Nick from pursuing this further and really does have mental problems.
As for the other possibility, Victoria will think Victor may be pretending again because he still doesn’t trust her and feels the need to set a new trap.
“But this one’s for me,” Victoria will suspect on Wednesday’s Y&R episode.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will continue to play mind games, so stay tuned for more Newman family mayhem.
