The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, November 8 – Sharon & Summer Panic Over Chance’s Injury – Nate Blasts Victoria

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 8, reveals that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will defend his solution as a reasonable one, but Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will argue that he spoke with the head of the “looney bin” and learned Nate already arranged for him to go there.

Nate will insist he had to get things ready and set up the NDAs, but Victor will be convinced that Nate’s lying and that he was just trying to get rid of him.

That way, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) could reclaim the throne and give Nate more power as well.

Nate will eventually decide there’s no getting through to the Newmans, so he’ll suggest Victor did a favor by firing him.

After Nate storms out, Victoria will catch up with him by the elevator and apologize for how everything went down.

However, Nate will snap about Victoria basically throwing him to the wolves!

The fact that Victoria sided with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will tell Nate everything he needs to know about her priorities.

Nate will point out that Adam’s plan was the perfect setup to manipulate Victor from the inside – and if Victoria didn’t see that, then Nate won’t think she was paying attention.

After Nate rants about Victoria’s DNA and how she fell right in line, he’ll complain since she still has a job and family while he’s stuck on the outside looking in.

Nate will add that his mistake was thinking Victoria would have his back instead of showing blind obedience, but he’ll assure her that he won’t make that mistake again and exit via the elevator.

Back in Victor’s office, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will remain suspicious of Adam’s motives, but Adam will remind Nick that he wanted them all to work together to help Victor.

Victor will pipe up to assure Nick that he believes Adam genuinely acted in his best interest and in the best interest of the company.

When Victoria returns, she’ll complain about Victor firing Nate so quickly and not giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Victor will reiterate that Nate called the “looney bin” to make arrangements, so Nick certainly won’t mind that untrustworthy Nate is gone.

Nikki will agree that Nate mostly just wanted to get Victoria in charge again so that he could be her co-CEO.

Victor will add that Nate wanted revenge since he demoted Victoria, but she’ll still be upset over his cruel charade and the fact that he keeps giving Adam a pass.

After Victoria says she doesn’t know if she can forgive Victor for this, she’ll stomp off – leaving Nikki to point out that she warned Victor this would happen.

Once Victor pushes Nick to come back to Newman Enterprises now that Nate’s gone, Nick will express concern about Victoria not being able to forgive Victor this time.

This may be one betrayal too many in Victoria’s mind, so Nick will offer a warning to Victor.

Next on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Victoria will text Nate and try to get him to call her back so they can talk.

Nate will see Victoria’s message at Society, but he’ll end up texting back Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) instead.

Since Devon asked if they could meet up for drinks, Nate will urge his cousin to tell him when and where.

At the jazz lounge, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will act like Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) is keeping her at arm’s length now that “The Bug” is back in town.

Danny will suggest Phyllis is reading too much into things and will push her to call Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) by her real name.

When Phyllis learns Danny is into transcendental meditation, she’ll ask him to teach her.

Danny will insist Phyllis needs someone trained, but he’ll agree to hook her up with an expert’s information.

After Phyllis suggests having dinner together, Danny will admit he’s already got plans.

Phyllis will assume Danny will be dining with Christine, but he’ll be having dinner with Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) instead.

Talk will turn to Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) return too, but Phyllis will make it clear that she’s not trying to meddle and will accept an invitation to join Danny, Daniel and Lucy for their meal.

At Society, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) will try to nudge Christine toward a reunion with Danny, but Christine will argue that they’re just friends.

Although Nina will think the timing’s perfect since both Christine and Danny are single, Christine will suggest she’s focused on figuring out what’s next in her career.

Nina will also mention an investigation that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is wrapping up before a call comes in from the hospital.

Moments later, Nina will reveal to Christine that Chance has been shot, so they’ll both race off to check on him.

At Crimson Lights, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will meet with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) in hopes of finding a solution that’ll allow them to collaborate without drama.

Unfortunately, Chloe will think a third voice is one too many in this case. Bounding ideas around with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) earlier reminded Chloe of what real collaboration was supposed to look like.

Summer will insist she’s willing to try, so Chloe will praise her as a consummate professional and assure her this is nothing personal.

Although Chloe will feel certain Chelsea and Summer are going to create great things together, she’ll feel it’s time for her to walk away.

Nearby, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will seem upset on the phone and will urge Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) to come there ASAP since she really needs to get to the hospital.

Once Chelsea, Chloe and Summer realize something’s wrong, Sharon will look rather frantic as she admits Chance has been shot.

Summer will immediately have a worried expression once she hears Sharon’s horrible updates.

At the hospital, Nina and Christine will arrive following the news that Chance took a bullet to the chest.

While Nina runs to Chance’s bedside and cries over his unconscious body, Christine will learn the doctors are still waiting on the results of imaging to verify the extent of damage.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance is going to pull through this ordeal, but there’ll be some terrifying moments for his loved ones in the meantime.
