The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, October 18 – Kyle Eavesdrops on Harsh Truth – Phyllis Calls Audra a Predator

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 18, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will continue to gloat about her leverage on Tucker McCall (Trevor St. Johnson) since she knows he transferred money to Mamie Johnson’s (Veronica Redd) business account.

Phyllis will question if Tucker is making a play for Chancellor-Winters and using Mamie to do it.

Tucker will bicker with Phyllis until Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) arrives, so Phyllis will wonder what brings her there so late.

After Phyllis calls Audra a predator, she’ll point out that Audra ruined Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) marriage.

Audra will disagree since Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was the one who turned to her after all his issues with Summer.

Tucker will make it clear that he’d like for Phyllis to leave, so he’ll admit they have an understanding for the time being.

Once Phyllis is gone, Audra will complain about Tucker still being connected to Phyllis since she could pose a threat to their plans.

Audra’s use of the word “our” will please Tucker, so Audra will admit she’s on board and would rather be working someplace where she knows she’ll have control.

After Audra hints about being close to getting Kyle to betray his family, Tucker will be skeptical and think maybe she overplayed her hand.

Audra will insist that Kyle is primed for a reset and will feel confident that he’ll want to join her in the top spot at Jabot.

In the jazz lounge on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Mamie will have a drink with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and once again encourage him to get back in the mix at Chancellor-Winters.

Nate will have doubts about Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) fully forgiving him – and even if they did, Nate won’t want to work at a company where his ideas aren’t valued.

However, Mamie will act like Nate’s only going to get crumbs as a Newman outsider and will reiterate that she wants to bring the family together again.

Nate will suspect Mamie’s plotting some sort of coup when it comes to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), but Mamie will act like Jill’s simply going to lose interest in time.

After Mamie keeps pushing, Nate will finally agree to think about rejoining Chancellor-Winters if she’s successful in all her plans.

That said, Nate won’t think he’s going to make more progress with Devon and Lily at this point. Mamie will cheerfully guess that she’ll just have to prove Nate wrong!

At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will dismiss Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) concerns about something being wrong and suggest he just had a rough night.

Talk will turn to Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) pitch about leaking all their dirt on Tucker, so Kyle will acknowledge that the brothers seem to be getting along again.

Billy will want to move fast when it comes to exposing their incriminating Tucker news, so he’ll suggest leaking it in the morning.

Jack will decide they should think about it overnight and make this item the first thing on their agenda tomorrow.

After Billy leaves, Jack will mention hopefully finding the right place for Kyle at Jabot, but Kyle will only want the co-CEO seat back – and he’ll now see that’s not going to happen.

When Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) come home, they’ll pick up on the tension between Jack and Kyle.

Once Kyle heads to Crimson Lights, Diane will follow him and suggest maybe he just has to be patient when it comes to the role he wants.

Kyle will act like it wouldn’t be fair to mess things up when it comes to Jack and Billy’s bond.

Instead, Kyle will hint about a new offer he’s considering.

Although Diane would rather see Kyle come back to Jabot, she’ll accept that he has to decide his new direction for himself – just as long as it doesn’t lead to Audra.

Kyle will rush to Audra’s defense and act like Diane needs to accept that he enjoys spending time with her.

After Kyle says he could learn a thing or two from Audra, Diane will question what that means and watch her son stomp off.

Back at the Abbott house, Jack will open up to Traci about giving Kyle more than what he deserved.

Kyle rose to the top too quickly and now has a sense of entitlement, so Jack will think Kyle needs to take a step back and start from the ground up.

Kyle will eavesdrop nearby, so he’ll hear Jack talk about it being time to hit the reset button.

Jack will declare that he’s not changing his mind and will maintain that Kyle needs to work his way up at Jabot by paying his dues.

After Kyle realizes where Jack stands, he’ll send Audra a “let’s talk” text and leave her patting herself on the back in Tucker’s suite.

Tucker will warn Audra to proceed with caution since this feels like a trap.

Audra will argue that’s not the way Kyle’s mind works, but Tucker will think she’s got a blind spot since she’s fallen for this guy.

Tucker won’t want their plan derailed by Audra’s feelings, but she’ll suggest that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) could still come back and throw a wrench in everything.

After Tucker says that’s never going to happen, he’ll cross paths with Mamie downstairs later.

Tucker will ask how things are going in Mamie’s world, so she’ll reply that she can’t complain and head upstairs after their polite interaction.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tucker has more messes in his future, so stay tuned for updates on his chaotic schemes.
