The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 13, reveals that Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) will give Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a hard time at Crimson Lights since she’ll still be holding a grudge on Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) behalf.
When Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) runs into Adam, she’ll get him to sit down with her on the patio.
That’ll give Nikki a chance to express doubt over Adam’s reset pitch and warn that he’s all out of chances as far as she’s concerned.
Nikki will warn Adam to walk away from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and the rest of the family since she won’t trust his motives.
In fact, Nikki will give Adam 24 hours to drop whatever scheme he’s planning against Victor or else she’ll plan to make him regret it for the rest of his miserable life!
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will suggest Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) should be her new co-CEO, but Victor won’t think Nate’s ready for a promotion of that magnitude.
What happened on The Young and the Restless episode Wednesday, September 13, 2023?
When Victoria assumes Victor wants to promote Adam, she’ll vow to walk right out that door along with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) if he does.
Victor will assure Victoria that he’s going to make Adam start at the bottom and work his way up to prove himself.
That’ll still leave Victoria curious about the open co-CEO seat, so Victor will announce that she’s going to fill it.
Victor will clarify that he intends to take back the reins at Newman Enterprises, so Victoria will be demoted to being his co-CEO – and Nate will report to her.
Although Victoria will fly into a rage over Victor’s move, Victor will stand his ground and make it clear that his decision is final.
Victoria will rant about Victor driving everyone away before she storms out.
In Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) suite, he’ll open the door to an irate Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway), who’ll demand answers about why he came back from Paris without Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
Abby will assume Tucker must’ve done something to Ashley, but Tucker will act like Ashley’s rethinking things when it comes to their new empire.
When Abby keeps pushing Tucker for information, he’ll eventually lose his cool and make it clear that he has limits.
Tucker will hint about his humiliation and heartbreak before warning Abby to stay away from him – and he’ll insist that goes for the rest of the Abbotts, too.
At the Chancellor mansion, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will second-guess her decision to take Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) out of the environment she was comfortable in, but Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will think Mariah is just overwhelmed right now.
Once an angry Abby comes blowing in after her confrontation with Tucker, she’ll settle down and offer Mariah some reassurance about Aria.
Abby will give Devon updates on how Tucker blamed his marriage drama on Ashley and warned the Abbotts to steer clear of him.
At the GCAC, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will talk to Nate at the jazz lounge, where he’ll seem optimistic about scoring the co-CEO spot that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) vacated.
Audra, on the other hand, will feel like Nate’s already got strikes against him and will have a much more negative outlook.
When Tucker appears, he’ll act like it’s creepy how inseparable Nate and Audra have become.
Audra and Nate will defend their friendship, but Tucker will act like being friends requires trust – and that’s a dangerous thing that’s only going to end in disappointment.
Once Audra speaks with Tucker alone, she’ll assume things ended badly with Ashley and will suspect he now plans to go after Jabot. Audra will express concern for Tucker since she really does consider him a friend.
Later, Tucker will contemplate texting Ashley before opening his suite door to Audra. That’ll lead to Tucker moving in close and kissing Audra as passion reignites between them.
Meanwhile, Nate will get Victoria’s text and meet up with her, so she’ll fill him in on the news about her demotion.
Victoria will be too furious to decide her next move, so Nate will distract her with a hot hookup upstairs at the GCAC.
In the aftermath, Victoria will decide she needs to fight back and prove Victor is no longer up to the challenge of running Newman Enterprises again.
“I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let him take this away from me,” Victoria will declare.
Next on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Adam will find Victor and Nikki bickering about his decision to demote Victoria.
After Adam admits he wants to clear up a misunderstanding that Nikki had about him, he’ll insist he’s not intimidated and isn’t backing down when it comes to this reset.
Adam will assure Victor that he’s there to serve him and will offer to do whatever his father wants.
In the park, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will mention a business trip to the west coast and will encourage Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) to come with her.
Chance will decide he might be able to work out his schedule and take a few days off to accompany Sharon.
When Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) appears, she’ll watch Chance and Sharon for a moment before making her presence known.
Summer will talk about how much better she’s doing and will thank Chance for being such a good friend to her when she needed him.
Once Chance hears about a meeting to discuss him taking over the police chief spot, he’ll have to take a raincheck on joining Sharon on her trip. Summer will seem intrigued when she realizes Chance almost went out of town with Sharon.
Summer will also touch Chance’s arm and talk about how fantastic his potential promotion is, so there’ll be some instances when Sharon notices Chance and Summer’s connection.
After Chance leaves to take Sharon to the airport, Summer will flash back to some close moments she’s had with him in recent months.
