The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) baby will be here before you know it, so it’s never too early to start thinking about how her bundle of joy will come into the world.
Most soap pregnancy storylines come with a traumatic birth scenario instead of a ho-hum delivery at the hospital.
That may be the case for Sally as well, so let’s think about how this might play out.
Sally seems to be running from her feelings for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) at the moment.
Although Sally’s been pushing Adam to let her go, it’s easy to see that she hasn’t let go of Adam herself.
If Sally were truly over Adam, then she wouldn’t care whether he had let her go or not.
Shouldn’t how Sally feels about Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) be what really matters?
Likewise, Nick probably knows Adam still has part of Sally’s heart.
Deep down, Nick can’t trust that Sally won’t slip through his fingers and drift back in Adam’s direction.
That’s why Nick’s so bent out of shape when it comes to Adam getting too close to Sally.
There’s no denying that Sally feels safe in Nick’s arms, but that’s kind of the point of this whole Y&R storyline. It’s about safety and comfort versus fire and risk.
Nick represents the safest albeit most boring relationship Sally has ever had while Adam represents something exciting and dangerous.
Unfortunately, Sally just can’t risk her heart again – at least not yet!
That brings us to what we can assume will be Sally’s emergency delivery down the road.
It’s easy to imagine some situation where Sally goes into labor at the worst possible time.
When that inevitably happens, will Adam be the one by Sally’s side? Maybe Adam and Sally could even get trapped together for this epic family moment.
Adam just might be the one to deliver Sally’s baby, so he could help coach her through their daughter’s intense arrival.
It could be the kind of experience that forever bonds “Ally” and seals the deal on their reunion.
