The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Billy’s Co-CEO Shocker – Returns to Jabot as Adam’s Replacement?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will make a power play during the week of February 20-24. That makes it sounds like it could be related to work – perhaps even the corporate grind that Billy left behind.

Billy has been struggling to nail down a new path ever since he left Chancellor-Winters.

Y&R fans will recall how Billy felt like an outsider at times, so he became bored and restless as Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) COO.

Although Billy hoped to find a passion outside of the typical business setting, we have to wonder what job Y&R really has in mind for him.

Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) therapist nixed her idea of doing a mental health podcast with Billy this soon in her recovery.

Billy doesn’t seem interested in doing another podcast on his own either – and most fans certainly don’t want to have to listen to one again!

The whole podcast thing needs to stay buried at this point.

Since so much of the show’s typical drama involves business, Billy may have no choice but to get back in the corporate game.

It’d be easy for the writers to act like Billy simply needed to grow up and realize he was at the wrong company – not in the wrong career entirely.

Billy has been understanding the importance of family more and more lately.

That’s obvious when you look at how supportive Billy has been when it comes to Johnny Abbott (Paxton Miskind) bonding with Chelsea and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Of course, the Abbott family is gearing up for more turmoil, so Billy might feel like they need his help.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) just quit his co-CEO job at Jabot, so Billy might step up and offer to be his replacement.

That would fit when it comes to the news of Billy’s power play.

Billy might decide there’s too much chaos going on for him to abandon Jack and Jabot when they need him most.

Jack has been arguing with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), but could he gain an ally in Billy?

Since Billy has been willing to give Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) another chance, that could certainly score him some extra points with Jack moving forward.

Although things haven’t worked out in the past for Billy at Jabot, that could change this time around.

Maybe Billy will finally find the sense of satisfaction that he’s been looking for.

If nothing else, Billy could serve as a temporary co-CEO replacement since he’s not doing anything else with his career right now.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy’s power play will be an interesting one, so stay tuned for updates on what’s in store.
