The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) may need some help on his newest case. Y&R fans know Chance has been rather fed up with his job at the GCPD since it’s so hard to get justice these days.
Chance feels like criminals tend to get off the hook when they’re guilty and get crimes pinned on them when they’re innocent.
It’s clear that Chance is jaded when it comes to his career path, but he may shift his perspective soon.
Although Chance has considered getting a new job, he’s the only detective left onscreen.
Who’s going to make arrests and investigate crimes if Chance walks away from the force?
Instead, Chance might renew his passion for seeking justice.
Maybe Chance could realize that the world needs more cops like him who are willing to search for the truth and uncover the real news.
Of course, Chance could also find himself highly intrigued by the investigation he’s been thrown into regarding Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford), who’ll “die” in an ambulance crash following her suspicious collapse.
Thanks to Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), it’s going to seem like Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) set Phyllis’ “death” in motion, but Chance may eventually find a new trail to follow.
When it comes to frame-ups in Genoa City, Chance has proven that he can get to the bottom of them sooner or later.
This could turn into a situation where Chance takes a closer look and senses that something isn’t right.
Chance may not be willing to share details of the investigation with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), but what if she uncovers some clues of her own?
This potential partnership is already off to a nice start based on the March 31 episode, where Sharon points out Phyllis’ mask is still on the floor.
Chance then picks the mask up with a cloth napkin since it might be evidence – though it could be part of the setup if there’s poison on it.
Jeremy might even make it seem like the crash itself was no accident and that Diane arranged for it to happen.
Regardless, this is a messy case that’ll force Chance to dig deeper for the facts.
Sharon needs a way to grow closer to Chance – and there’d be no better way than solving a murder mystery together!
Perhaps Sharon will find some new hints and become Chance’s unofficial partner on this.
It’d be fitting since Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) used to be Chance’s partner as well as Sharon’s husband.
Rey would be pleased over Sharon helping Chance find his passion for the job again, especially if they expose a shocking criminal plot in the process!
Chance and Sharon might even be the ones to discover Phyllis is alive and in hiding down the road.
