The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) could find himself in grave danger despite what he thought would be a safer career change. A medical crisis may be in Chance’s future, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
In the October 9 episode, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will reassure Chance about his new chief of police job and admit she likes the idea of him not chasing as many bad guys.
“I really wouldn’t want anything to happen to my new friend,” Summer will insist with a smile.
Summer will assume it’ll be less dangerous since Chance will be sitting behind a desk giving orders instead of putting his life on the line daily.
Of course, there could still be a situation where Chance has to step up during an emergency.
Chance could even be targeted over a case from the past or something along those lines.
Regardless, a behind-the-scenes photo recently leaked, which appeared to show Summer sitting by someone’s bedside in the hospital.
That doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be Chance who Summer visits, but he’s a good option to mull over – especially considering that anvil we mentioned.
The fact that Summer doesn’t think Chance will be in as much danger seemingly hints that he’ll land in a ton of it!
Plus, we know that Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) is headed back to Y&R, so we have to think about why Chance’s mom might visit Genoa City.
If Chance ends up fighting for his life in the hospital, that would certainly be a great reason for Nina to return.
As for Summer, this could make her feelings for Chance grow even stronger.
It’s easy to imagine Summer opening up to unconscious Chance and perhaps saying things she thinks he can’t hear.
Chance might hear Summer after all and realize the depth of what she feels for him.
It could force Chance to consider whether he might feel the same way – and that would certainly affect his romance with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
