The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that one couple could be headed downhill fast. After witnessing Billy’s angry performance against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters), Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was shaken up in the August 15 episode.
Although Chelsea understands that Billy’s putting on a show right now, it’s still tough to see Billy lashing out in such a harsh way.
There have been concerns from Diane as well when it comes to Billy playing his part a little too well!
It feels like Y&R is laying the groundwork for Billy to backslide into his old selfish ways.
Billy is tempted to truly accept Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) offer to run Jabot after a takeover – meaning he’d bail on pretending to work for them and work for them for real instead.
It’s easy to see the potential for Billy to betray Jack and actually turn against him.
The harder Billy tries to convince Chelsea that this is all an act, the more likely it becomes that it’ll become genuine.
Of course, there must be a reason why Chelsea’s so uneasy about Billy’s character transformation and the possibility that he’ll head back down the wrong path.
Chelsea has been through a lot since she tried to take her own life on The Grand Phoenix rooftop that fateful night.
The last thing Chelsea needs is to be around someone who’s a source of vengeful energy and a magnet for drama.
Chelsea is on the verge of dealing with some major Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) issues as well, so she’ll have to think about what kind of influence Billy will be on her son.
If Billy falls back into old habits, it may make Chelsea feel fearful and uncertain about their future.
Will Chelsea break up with Billy and insist on taking some time apart?
It’d be a good way to split up a couple that doesn’t seem to have a ton of fan support or at least explain the separation during Melissa Claire Egan’s maternity leave.
Will Chelsea get updates on Billy’s backsliding and end their romance? Will the bad news push Billy even further off the rails?
