The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will head back to the psych ward at Memorial Hospital to complete the program Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) arranged for her.
Claire entered a guilty plea to avoid prison and clearly needs the treatment she agreed to. Jordan (Colleen Zenk) really messed with Claire’s head, so it’s time for Claire to fully break free from her past so that she can focus on the future.
Once Claire’s well enough to reenter society and scores her release, it’ll be interesting to see what’s next. Of course, there might be a situation where Claire’s required to stay with a guardian as she transitions to life on the outside.
Regardless, Claire is part of the Newman family now, so she surely won’t be going back to live at the GCAC. Instead, Claire is probably looking at two main options.
For the first one, it’s possible Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will move Claire in with her, but that plan could get tricky due to Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri).
Katie and Johnny have seemingly been spending much of their time at boarding school, but they could still come home for breaks throughout the year. Will Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) object to Johnny and Katie being around Claire?
Whatever the case, introducing an older sibling to Katie and Johnny is going to be a complicated process, so it might be better for Claire to stay somewhere else – at least for a while.
That could be Y&R’s excuse to avoid putting Victoria’s house set back up, especially when there’s another good option already waiting for Claire.
Of course, that brings us to move-in possibility number two, which could involve Nikki insisting that Claire should come stay at the Newman ranch.
Claire can get a taste of what it would’ve been like if she’d grown up as a real member of the family as she settles in there.
Naturally, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be keeping a close eye on Claire. Even after Claire recovers and gets a clean bill of health, Victor may view her as an outsider and be rather protective of his other loved ones.
That could lead to some conflict with Nikki and Victoria if they feel like Victor isn’t accepting Claire the way a good grandpa should!
