The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will return to the CBS soap starting July 14. Once Heather comes home for a visit, it could lead to some trouble in Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) budding romance.
Y&R fans know that Daniel ruined his relationship with Heather, but he hoped he could turn his life around, build his gaming platform and win her back.
It was a crushing blow when Heather admitted she’d already moved on with someone else.
Daniel has now moved on with Lily as well, but they’re taking things slow when it comes to their romantic reunion.
That could leave the door open for Heather to reconsider and perhaps create a new obstacle.
Lily and Daniel could use some angst for the sake of building a good story.
Since we know Heather is coming back to town, it’s easy to imagine Daniel, Heather and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) having some sweet scenes where they bond as a family again.
It may feel like old times in some ways, so Lucy might start to wonder if Daniel and Heather could get back together.
If things didn’t work out between Heather and the new man in her life, that could set the stage for something to happen.
What if Heather spends some time with Daniel and really likes this new-and-improved version of him?
Could Heather decide she was a bit hasty in shutting down the idea of reuniting with Daniel?
It’d be interesting to hear Daniel’s response if Heather made a pitch to fix their relationship and planted a kiss to get her point across.
Maybe Lily could even witness a close moment like that and fear that Daniel is slipping away.
However, Daniel could ultimately tell Heather that she was right to turn him down the first time.
Perhaps Daniel could insist that they’ve outgrown each other and that they work better as friendly coparents at this point.
Daniel might admit he’s fallen too hard for Lily to back out now.
It’d be a great way to show the depth of what Daniel feels and eventually deepen Lily’s feelings too if he rejects Heather for her.
