The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei) will have a tough decision to make during the week of February 20-24. That could involve a choice regarding Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) and what’s best for her.
Y&R fans know Lucy was crushed when Daniel let his own insecurities affect his attitude and personality.
Daniel was once an amazing dad to Lucy, but she didn’t even recognize the cold person he turned into.
That led to Lucy feeling rather abandoned since Daniel angrily pushed his family away.
Of course, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) took Lucy to Portugal while Daniel tried to get his act together, so that led to physical distance in addition to the emotional distance.
Now that Daniel is trying to reconnect with Lucy, he could be tempted to move to Portugal – at least for a while.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) previously offered to let Daniel work remotely in case he wanted to be closer to his family, so he may consider taking her up on that offer.
Daniel no longer has hope for a reunion with Heather, but he won’t want to let this second chance with Lucy slip away.
That could mean Daniel will contemplate a Portugal move so that he can build on the progress he’s made so far.
Of course, Lily may vow to support Daniel no matter what, but she’d still be disappointed if he came to her with news of moving away.
It could lead to Lily realizing just how much she enjoys having Daniel back in her life.
Lily may not go as far as rescinding her offer to let Daniel work remotely, but she could point out it’d be easier to collaborate there in Genoa City.
Perhaps Lily could even admit she’d miss Daniel on a personal level and acknowledge that she selfishly wants him to stay.
Fortunately, Daniel is indeed sticking around, so he might come to the conclusion that it’s best not to push too hard.
Lucy might still need some space since she was hurt so badly, so Daniel may ultimately opt for video chats and phone calls instead of overwhelming her in person all the time.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Lily and Daniel are going to heat things up soon, so stay tuned for updates on their growing bond.
