The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will apparently double down on her shocking confession to Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) – and he seems poised to believe her this time around.
Y&R fans know Daniel was incredibly skeptical when Summer first presented the idea that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was alive.
Unfortunately, Summer was still emotional from Phyllis’ big reveal, so she didn’t do a very good job of explaining the shocking story.
Based on how Summer spoke, it seemed more like wild theories and delusional beliefs to protect herself from pain.
Daniel could easily start talking to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and other important people in Summer’s life about her mental well-being.
It’s easy to imagine Daniel expressing concern to Kyle and mentioning how Summer was in denial about Phyllis even being dead.
Summer may ultimately realize she needs to help Daniel understand or he’s going to make a mess of things for Phyllis, who’s stuck in a big enough mess already!
The last thing Summer wants is for Daniel to inadvertently help someone connect the dots – or worse, try to send her to a mental institution that she doesn’t need.
During the week of May 1-5, Summer corner Daniel and make another admission. We’ll see Summer come clean and most likely try a different strategy this time around.
Summer may calmly explain everything in vivid detail and help Daniel see that these aren’t delusional ramblings.
This is legitimately what happened with Phyllis, who secretly revealed herself and swore Summer to secrecy in the park.
Summer might even figure out a way to prove it by divulging Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) cause of death before it becomes official.
Thanks to Phyllis’ story, Summer knows that her mom dug her nails into Jeremy’s face and turned the scissors on him in self-defense.
After Summer reveals that, Daniel may get updates from Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) about Jeremy having nail marks on his face and fatal wounds consistent with a sharp object – like a pair of scissors.
Then again, it may not even take that level of proof once Summer convinces Daniel to really think about this.
Daniel knows what Phyllis is capable of – and he even mentioned seeing someone who looked just like Phyllis at the memorial.
Maybe Daniel could flash back to that moment and have a shocking realization that Phyllis attended her own celebration of life service.
Regardless, the fact that Summer’s going to confess again likely means she’ll get through to Daniel in the end.
The show surely wouldn’t waste time repeating the same scenario unless it was going to have a different outcome, so Daniel may eventually realize Summer’s telling the truth.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will hopefully have a Daniel breakthrough, which will give her someone to talk to about this huge news.
