The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a new opportunity will land in Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) lap. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will urge Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) to sell McCall Unlimited to his son, so he’ll indeed make a pitch to Devon soon.
Tucker may hope they can finally put the past to rest and work alongside each other, which is what he originally wanted.
Although Tucker got in his own way with all the subterfuge, he really does ache for the chance to join forces with Devon and build something great together.
However, Devon could easily buy Tucker’s company with another goal in mind.
After how Tucker has behaved, it’d serve him right if Devon stabbed him in the back – or at least tried to.
What Devon really wants is to regain control of Hamilton-Winters, but Y&R fans know Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) are fighting him awfully hard on that.
Devon is gearing up for a lawsuit and a court battle, but he might see a potential new strategy when Tucker comes to him with this offer.
For Devon, this is about the legacy Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) left behind and his desire to preserve it.
Devon doesn’t have the same emotional attachment to Tucker’s company and could easily try to use it as a bargaining chip.
Perhaps Devon will acquire McCall Unlimited and offer it as part of a new deal with Jill and Lily.
Devon might hope that he can get Hamilton-Winters back if he gives them McCall Unlimited instead.
Although Devon may think that’s a fair trade, Lily and Jill may not agree.
There’s been more than enough upheaval at Chancellor-Winters, where everything’s already locked in on Hamilton-Winters regarding the merger and IPO.
It’d be too much trouble to undo all that – not to mention McCall Unlimited is now a floundering company that’s been caving under a mountain of debt.
The news about McCall Unlimited’s financial problems has already been gaining traction, so Lily and Jill may be wary of attaching the Chancellor name to it when there’s so much on the line.
Devon may hurt Tucker by trying to bargain with McCall Unlimited to get Hamilton-Winters back, but we know Devon and Lily still have a court battle ahead of them.
Whatever tactics Devon might use to avoid that battle aren’t going to work.
Devon might eventually drop the backstabber plan and give Tucker what he truly wants.
Tucker and Devon seem poised to work together eventually, so stay tuned for updates on their complex relationship.
