The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will whisk Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) away to the Abbott cabin – mostly so they can safely hide themselves from Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
However, Jack also wants this to be a romantic getaway, so he’ll take time to dote on Diane during their trip as well.
Diane has really captured Jack’s heart, so he’ll fall more in love with her by the second.
Unfortunately, Jack won’t realize Diane is keeping another secret from him. Jeremy is out for revenge, so he’ll be careful to track Diane closely this time around.
Y&R spoilers say Diane will eventually get some unsettling updates from Jeremy via text, but she won’t bring Jack in the loop.
Jeremy will message Diane to reveal that he knows her location, so he’ll taunt her with that information and try to spook her.
Of course, Diane will feel like she’s caused more than enough drama for Jack by now.
It sounds like Diane won’t want to ruin the mood or make Jack feel obligated to protect her more than he already has.
Jack will be in the dark on just how dangerous the situation is becoming, but he’ll know what he wants his future to look like.
That’s why Jack will pull out an engagement ring and ask Diane to marry him.
After Jack pops the question, Diane will face a flood of messy emotions.
Once Diane gets over the shock, she’ll have to wrap her head around this news and figure out whether she’s ready to make this level of commitment.
The old Diane would’ve agreed to marry Jack in heartbeat, but the new Diane will have to give it some serious thought.
Diane will fret over Jack behaving out of character for her sake and landing in all kinds of risky predicaments.
In the end, Diane’s guilt and sense of dread will have a huge impact on her marriage proposal answer.
It turns out Diane’s response will stun Jack along with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) once they find out in the aftermath.
Jack wouldn’t be asking if he expected Diane to reject his ring.
Likewise, Ashley and Phyllis would never think Diane would pass up an opportunity of a lifetime like this.
The fact that Diane’s proposal answer will be so shocking makes it seem like she’ll turn Jack down – at least initially.
This could derail Jack and Diane’s wedding plans, but maybe he’ll hope to wear her down sooner or later.
