The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) plot will come with some huge snags, so he’ll have to worry about getting caught. Stark had an elaborate plan to fake Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) death and frame Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) for it, but he didn’t count on the curveballs ahead.
Jeremy thought he had taken care of everything since he set the ambulance driver up with a new identity and sent him off for greener pastures.
The driver supposedly didn’t have any real ties in Genoa City and was happy for a fresh start with plenty of cash.
However, Phyllis is creating issues for Jeremy since she’s starting to second-guess her faux demise and this permanent separation from her children.
Jeremy will have a hard time keeping Phyllis in line since she’ll crash her memorial gathering, but she’s not the only potential problem here.
There’s one other loose end for Jeremy since EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) could confess if the heat gets too hot!
Carson accepted his last payment and vowed to stick to the story he already gave the cops, but he looked awfully nervous.
After Phyllis realized how skittish Carson was, she wondered if he could really be trusted.
Although Carson took the money, it seems like he would’ve rather avoided this mess altogether.
Because of Jeremy’s setup, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) may connect a poison bottle from Phyllis’ GCAC suite to Diane.
It may look like Diane somehow poisoned Phyllis during their showdown up there.
Y&R spoilers say Jeremy will do whatever he can to make sure the evidence points in Diane’s direction, but Chance might dig deeper and uncover some real proof that makes him smell a rat.
From there, Jeremy might worry that EMT Carson is going to blow this.
Even if Jeremy can keep Phyllis contained, Carson could crack under the pressure once the police are grilling him harder and potentially threatening him with jail time.
Perhaps Carson will be tempted to spill the whole ugly story – including how he made sure the poisoned blood sample became part of the investigation.
Carson could try to score immunity in exchange for the truth about Jeremy’s scheme with Phyllis and cause major drama in the process.
Of course, there’s a chance Jeremy might kill Carson to silence him, but that would raise questions for the cops as well.
Jeremy may land in a no-win situation thanks to this anxious EMT, so he may wish he’d found a better ally for his mission!
