The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, January 6, teases that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will look like they’ve been to war after a brutal therapy session. Billy will try to salvage the night with Lily, but she’ll end up needing some time on her own.
After Billy takes Lily’s hands, he’ll suggest they can keep going to therapy and do whatever it takes. However, Lily will think they should be honest since things have been headed downhill for months.
“We don’t need to keep doing this, right? We can’t keep doing this,” Lily will insist before kissing Billy on the cheek.
As Lily heads out on Friday’s Y&R episode, she’ll get a text from Daniel Romalott Jr (Michael Graziadei) asking for updates on how her appointment went.
When Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) shows up at Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) suite, she’ll let him in and realize she left the first trimester paper nearby.
Sally will scramble to wad it up and throw it away, but she’ll claim she’s just been working on pitch drafts for Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) at Chancellor-Winters.
Nick will offer to look over the pitch and reach down for it, but Sally will insist there’s no need until the pitch is finished.
After Nick leaves to grab them some takeout, Sally will dig the paper out of the trash and tear it up.
Once Sally stuffs the pieces down further in the wastebasket, Nick will return with nachos and earn praise for being the perfect man.
Sally will make love to Nick before he hops in the shower. While Nick’s in the bathroom, Sally will look queasy over the smell of the food he brought.
At the Abbott house, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will bicker about her plan to take Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) on a Paris trip.
Summer will admit she’s worried about the danger and will eventually suggest Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) should join them.
Of course, Kyle won’t be willing to leave Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) right now.
The conflict this is creating will leave Kyle concerned, but he’ll acknowledge that Summer’s being pulled in so many directions.
Kyle will bring up Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), so Summer will snap that he shouldn’t dare make this about her mother when it’s actually about Diane and her never-ending chaos.
Kyle will remind Summer that Phyllis brought Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) to town, but Summer won’t think it’s her mom’s fault that Diane has a criminal ex-boyfriend. Besides, Jeremy would’ve found Diane eventually anyway.
After more bickering, Summer and Kyle will ultimately cool down as they embrace.
Unless Kyle is firmly against her Paris trip with Harrison, Summer will want to start packing. Kyle and Summer will admit they both want to protect each other before they have a make-out session.
On the Crimson Lights patio, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will sense that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is distracted.
Jack will confess that he’s worried about a friend, so Sharon will be able to tell it’s somebody very close to him.
Afterward, Sharon will catch up with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) as they talk about having dinner alone most of the time.
That’ll lead to them enjoying Ethiopian takeout together from a place Chance likes.
Sharon will enjoy herself and suggest they could do this again next week – like a private supper club. It’ll take a little convincing, but Chance will decide he’s in.
Meanwhile, Jack will text Diane to find out if she’s done meeting Jeremy and will insist he needs to hear she’s OK.
The wait for news will leave Jack incredibly nervous.
At The Glam Club, Jeremy will flirt with Diane, who’ll suggest he could minimize the risks by doing business with her in GC instead of in another country.
Jeremy still won’t be sure he can trust Diane and will need her to show she’s got some skin in the game.
Diane will realize Jeremy wants her to risk prison for him, so she’ll wonder what he has in mind.
However, Jeremy will urge Diane to surprise him and come up with her own way to prove her loyalty.
Later, Diane will meet with Jack and admit Jeremy is falling into her trap. Before they spring it on Jeremy, Diane will note that they have to find a crime for her to commit.
Jack won’t like the sound of that, but Diane will think she can pull it off. If Diane can just get past this hurdle, she’ll think Jeremy will be putty in her hands.
From there, they can orchestrate a crime for Jeremy to get caught committing and have him sent right back to prison.
Diane will settle on stealing something of considerable value for her own crime, but she’ll reject Jack’s offer to let her steal from the Abbott safe.
That would be too easy and could tip Jeremy off to a setup.
Diane will think she needs to steal from someone who would never under any circumstances help her, but Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be too much of a wildcard.
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) won’t be a good option either due to her Abbott ties.
That’ll leave Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as the only remaining coven member – and Diane will smile over her perhaps deserving a little larceny coming her way.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane could be playing a very dangerous game, so stay tuned!
