Jeremy first appeared in created flashbacks where Diane recalled how they met. He was someone Taylor Jensen got to know in Los Angeles, California, years ago.
Their meeting happened because Diane faked being murdered due to what she now claims were overwhelming mental health issues.
While Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) does not buy Diane’s story, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) did. That eventually led to Jack falling back in love with Walters’ character.
Hyde has played this villain just right. His vengeance is believable because Diane reported him to the authorities, which led to an extended prison sentence, and she and Jack recently framed him for burglary.
Young and the Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Is A Legacy Character
Phyllis is a regular on the show. Jeremy became someone from Diane’s past.
So, unless a major departure is happening, all connected regular characters will survive the Jeremy threat.
Along with that, the most intriguing and arguably likely person to stop Jeremy is Phyllis.
Her seeming throw-in with Jeremy feels as though she is playing him in an attempt to address the threat her voluntary initial contact with him created. That scenario would also evoke gratitude and create redemption for Phyllis.
Diane bested Jeremy for strike one. Strike two happened when Jack and Diane framed Jeremy for grand larceny. So, why not have Phyllis strike Jeremy out on Y&R?
