The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the hostility between the Abbotts and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) could come with some disturbing new developments. There are some ominous clues about where all this is headed, so let’s discuss some crucial dialogue.
In Y&R’s December 21 episode, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) proposed a toast after making sure the scandalous article on Tucker went public.
However, the wording of that toast could point to a shocking outcome for Tucker.
“To the first successful step in the demise of Tucker McCall,” Jack said while raising his glass.
It’s interesting that Jack chose the word “demise” as part of his little victory speech.
After all, Jack could’ve said takedown or something that sounded less sinister. Instead, Jack went with “demise,” so what if that’s the writers’ way of hinting about Tucker’s grim fate?
Tucker has burned a lot of bridges and made a ton of enemies since he came back to Genoa City.
There’d be no shortage of suspects if the show wanted to get rid of Tucker permanently and center a whodunit around him.
That’s an option worth mulling over, particularly when you think about Jack’s gloomy toast and the terrible news it could lead to.
Tucker always seems to be spinning in circles anyway, so the show might let him go out with a bang and offer up some gripping drama.
Then again, maybe Tucker could take a page out of Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) playbook and fake his demise instead.
Tucker might like the idea of framing Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) or another Abbott family member for revenge as he goes!
Regardless, fans have to wonder how long Tucker can continue to be the big bad wolf of Genoa City, especially when he never really seems to accomplish much of anything.
Does Jack’s “demise” hint point to a grisly outcome for Tucker? Will Tucker survive what’s coming as this feud gets out of hand?
