The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will remain desperate for a way to get her children back on her side. Phyllis knows she screwed up big time by faking her demise and causing chaos for Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) as well as Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei).
Since Phyllis did the most damage to Summer’s life, getting through to her may be the most challenging part of all this. It’s clear that Phyllis could use some help when it comes to reconnecting with Summer and earning her forgiveness.
Perhaps that could lead to some common ground between Phyllis and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Like Phyllis, Jack cares about Summer and only wants what’s best for her.
No matter how Jack feels about Phyllis and what she did, he’ll understand that Summer’s feeling a void without a strong bond with her mother. That could lead to good news for Phyllis as this Y&R storyline continues.
If there’s a path forward where Phyllis and Summer can be on better terms again, Jack may decide he should do his part to help them find it.
Maybe Phyllis will go to Jack with a dire plea and hope he’s willing to help her with this task. It might even be the start of Jack seeing Phyllis in a new light.
Jack has been quite forgiving of Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) despite her mistakes, so will he find it in his heart to forgive Phyllis, too?
Phyllis might hope that if Jack can get past all her blunders and bad decisions, then Summer and even Daniel can as well.
However, coming to Jack for a huge favor like this could set the stage for more Diane drama. That’s especially true if Jack starts to give Phyllis a pass for all the pain she’s caused.
Could Diane really handle that? The new-and-improved Diane might be put to the test and could fail miserably if she’s not careful.
It’ll be interesting to see if Diane can stay on this positive road when Jack potentially softens toward the woman who tried to throw her behind bars forever!
If Jack helps Phyllis reconnect with Summer and possibly forgives her for everything, it could easily drive Diane off the rails.
