The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was intent on pushing Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) out. He succeeded, but not in an intended way.
Adam offered to be fired or said he would give Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) his resignation.
That came after Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) caught Adam eavesdropping outside Jack’s office, where Bergman’s character and Kyle were yelling at each other.
Jack believes Kyle disrespected him by suspecting and confirming Adam was not pulling his weight. Adam agreed with Kyle after all the shouting was over.

Jack and Kyle generally got along when they were running Jabot together. Kyle was handed the co-Chief Executive officer’s slot by his father.
It is fair to suggest that qualified executives in Genoa City, Wisconsin, and more across the world were passed over when Jack gave his son that plumb job.
Jack practiced nepotism then and when allowing Kyle to shift to heading Marchetti.
The Marchetti purchase happened quickly, with soap-time propelling Kyle’s ascension to the other thrown.

Jack seems to be intentionally rejecting reality. In comparison to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who wants Adam to work for him at Newman Enterprises, Jack is arguably practicing nepotism, just like the Moustache.
Bergman’s character would argue that Victor is far more manipulative. Okay, point taken.
But rather than Victor trying to force Adam out of the family business, he wants him back.
Yes, it is wrong for Victor to have used Kyle to forcibly nudge Adam to realize he is working in the wrong GC skyscraper, which viewers see in the gorgeous long shot of the city’s skyline.
Yet, Jack and Victor both want what is best for their sons.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Summer Newman Sees Diane Jenkins’ Influence
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has been involved in non-stop drama since Jack first learned she was never murdered by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Summer, who was willing to give Diane space in deference to Kyle’s feelings, reached her breaking point when the Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) frame happened.
Kyle’s mistake was not fully informing his wife about the depth of his involvement with Victor. He knows Summer would have disagreed, and Kyle could have proceeded.
Hopefully, this couple, that only achieved stability within the last year-plus, is not endangered by family conflicts on Y&R.
