The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is reverting to the partying bad boy he used to be, but it’s not a good look! It was one thing for Kyle to go wild when he was a young man with no real responsibilities, but those days are long gone.
Kyle is a husband and a father now, so he should be showing some maturity – even when times are tough. Instead, Kyle’s spiraling out of control because Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) lied to him.
Of course, we’re not ignoring Summer’s betrayal since what she did was pretty awful.
It wasn’t right for Summer to hide the truth about Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) survival, especially since she was willing to let Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) rot in prison if need be.
Kyle was desperate to support Summer, but she shut him out and made him think that she was still grieving.
We get why Kyle would be angry now, but the punishment should fit the crime.
Summer thought she lost her mom forever, so it’s understandable that she would’ve been overwhelmed and desperate to hold onto Phyllis once she returned.
Regardless, Kyle’s behavior is uncalled for since he’s basically pretending his marriage never existed.
It’s like Kyle’s completely ignoring his history with Summer so he can go a hundred rounds in Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) bed.
The problem isn’t that Kyle asked Summer to move out; it’s the fact that Kyle is acting downright happy about being unattached.
It’s almost like Kyle was just waiting for an excuse to unleash his immature, messy side and jump back into single life.
If Kyle was so in love with Summer, shouldn’t he be acting at least somewhat upset about this separation? Instead, Kyle’s grinning like crazy and trying to charm Audra with innuendo.
It’s hard to feel any sympathy for Kyle when he’s sending Audra expensive gifts and making it seem like Summer isn’t a factor at all.
A storyline that should’ve made Y&R fans feel for Kyle has made many viewers root for downfall.
Summer doesn’t deserve to be treated this way – no matter how many lies she told to protect Phyllis.
Kyle is a smug cheater since he’s still married and barely separated, so he deserves to pay for his harsh treatment of Summer.
Based on Kyle’s recent actions, he’s certainly no better and needs to suffer!
