The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will keep working to earn Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) forgiveness. The week of February 20-24 will bring another desperate plea from Kyle, who’ll hope to get his marriage back on track.
Summer warned Kyle that it’d take more than flowers and apologies this time.
Kyle ignored Summer’s wishes and lied to her about his collusion with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), so she can’t forget the way he broke her trust.
However, Summer knows Kyle loves her – and she obviously loves him, too.
That could help to finally ease the tension once Kyle makes another forgiveness pitch, but more trouble seems to be on the horizon.
When Kyle wondered how he could prove himself to Summer, she suggested it’d take a similar situation.
Summer doesn’t want another ordeal like that to happen, but she needs to see Kyle land in the same type of jam and make better choices.
Unfortunately, Y&R spoilers hint that may not be how things turn out!
The harder Kyle tries to insist this was a one-time mistake that won’t be repeated, the more it feels like he’s going to screw up again.
Kyle got agitated with Summer the last time Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) plotted against Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Although Kyle wanted to be privy to the details, Summer insisted it was better if they stayed in the dark.
That left Kyle feeling helpless and out of the loop. It’s not a position Kyle will want to be in now that Jeremy is back in Genoa City and clearly out for revenge.
Jack assured Diane that they would take Jeremy down for good, so another plot will soon be in the works.
Kyle may want in on that scheme, so that could blow up his relationship with Summer once more.
If Kyle insists on getting involved and is honest about it, Summer will be furious.
That alone would feel like a betrayal since Kyle is prioritizing Diane over his family with Summer and Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).
Of course, Kyle could make the situation even worse if he lies to Summer again.
If Summer eventually realizes Kyle has kept more secrets from her, it could damage their marriage on a serious level.
Kyle’s probably going to double down on his betrayal either way, so that could mean bad news for the future of “Skyle” – at least for a while.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle may push for updates on Diane and Jack’s dangerous plan and set the stage for another round of Summer conflict.
