The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have an emergency meeting with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to discuss the future of Marchetti. Since Kyle isn’t going to back down on this separation, Jack will think they need to talk about his working partnership with Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier).
During the week of July 3-7, Jack may start by asking whether Kyle thinks he can be professional and put the company first.
Just in case Kyle and Summer might be able to keep working together, Jack will probably want to give his son that option.
Unfortunately, Kyle can barely stand to be in the same room as Summer right now.
That’s part of why Kyle wants Summer to move out, so working with her every day at Marchetti would defeat the purpose instead of giving him space.
Y&R spoilers say Jack will understand, but he’ll also think Kyle needs to consider everything Summer is losing.
In addition to being forced out of her home, Summer is losing her husband and the united family they’ve built together.
With that in mind, Jack will point out that Marchetti is all Summer really has left.
Summer is also very influential when it comes to the creativity of the brand, so things won’t be the same if she leaves the company.
Jack will explain all his reasons and call for Kyle’s resignation, so that news will catch his son off guard.
Although Kyle will get Jack’s logic, he’ll also express outrage over his dad putting Summer first.
Kyle won’t think this is fair since Summer’s the one who drove him to want the separation in the first place.
If Summer hadn’t lied about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and put her mother above everything else, things would be different.
Kyle will lash out at Jack once he’s facing this dilemma, but he’ll ultimately agree to step down from the Marchetti CEO position.
It’ll work out best for Summer as well as the company as a whole, so Kyle will surrender to Jack’s request.
However, Kyle will question Jack’s motives when his father admits there isn’t really another available job for Kyle at Jabot – at least not a top executive role.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has been serving as Jack’s co-CEO, so Kyle can’t slide back in that position.
Jack will act like staying at Marchetti is the only way Kyle can remain employed, so Kyle will feel like he’s being manipulated.
It’ll dawn on Kyle that Jack perhaps doesn’t really want his resignation and that he’s just trying to convince him to repair things with Summer.
Kyle surely won’t respond well when he realizes what Jack’s up to and could stick with his resignation to as a result.
Since Kyle isn’t interested in fixing his relationship with Summer, he may stand his ground on stepping down and leaving the family business altogether.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will be disappointed over Kyle and Summer’s marriage potentially coming to an end, but he’ll hope for some positive updates eventually.
