The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) marriage problems are far from over. For starters, there’s much more drama ahead due to Kyle and Summer’s feuding mothers.
Y&R fans know Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is targeting Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), so that’ll inevitably blow up and lead to bad news for “Skyle.”
However, this situation with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) could certainly lead to more issues, too.
Kyle actually defended Sally when Summer unleashed a tirade recently, so we have to consider where this story might be heading.
Since the writers are letting Kyle go easy on Sally and be somewhat understanding of her dilemma, there could be a reason for that.
Once Summer plots against Sally, Kyle may lash out over her behavior – especially if Summer does anything to put Sally’s baby at risk.
Summer’s goal will be to break up Sally and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), but she may regret it depending on how Kyle reacts.
Although Summer may expect Sally to run right into Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) arms, this might be Kyle’s opportunity to grow closer to Sally as well.
Kyle teamed up with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to push Adam out of Jabot and now bickers with Adam every time they cross paths.
Adam and Kyle can’t even get a cup of coffee at Crimson Lights without a confrontation.
With that in mind, could the writers be going somewhere with Kyle and Adam’s rivalry?
If Kyle disapproves of Summer’s scheme and winds up comforting Sally in the aftermath, that could make his war with Adam even worse.
Summer may succeed in driving Nick out of Sally’s life, but what if Kyle connects with Sally next?
As the strain on Summer and Kyle’s marriage continues, it could open the door for a Sally and Kyle romance.
Both Summer and Adam will be furious if that happens, but it would definitely lead to some juicy drama – and that’s always welcome in Genoa City!
