The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will have a chance to catch up with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) during the week of September 4-8. These exes will be drawn back together for a conversation that might reignite some feelings on both sides.
Of course, there’ll be a lot to talk about, especially now that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) has moved away with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Billy assured Chelsea that they were in a good place and that they’d be OK, but their romance will inevitably suffer.
Billy has a short attention span when it comes to the women in his life. Whenever another damsel in distress lands in his path, it’s easy for Billy to get sidetracked and gravitate toward her.
Since Lily might open up about some issues she’s facing in her relationship with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), that could leave Billy concerned about her.
Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) presence in Genoa City could lead to growing insecurities for Lily, especially if she feels like Heather is pursuing Daniel again.
It certainly seems like Heather may want Daniel back, so Lily might worry that she set herself up for heartbreak here.
Lily may wind up blaming herself for getting involved with Daniel too quickly after his split from Heather. It could leave Lily fearful about the possibility of losing Daniel to a Heather reunion in the end.
However, there’s a chance Lily and Billy could get a reunion of their own – even if it’s just a temporary one. Could some passion bubble back up and leave these exes struggling to resist temptation?
Christel Khalil’s maternity leave is coming up, so Billy and Lily aren’t on track for a long-term reunion right now. That said, Lily and Billy’s connection hasn’t fully gone away.
It’ll be easy for these former lovers to bond once more – and that could lead to trouble depending on where Y&R writers want to go with this storyline.
Will Billy and Lily surrender to temptation? It might be interesting if Lily cheated on Daniel out of fear that he’d betray her first or even leave her for Heather.
Likewise, Billy could betray Chelsea in a moment of weakness and create a mess on his side of things, too. It wouldn’t be the first time Billy made a bad decision and blew up his world!
