The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) romance seems to be headed into even rockier territory. Daniel and Lily should be getting more serious in their relationship by now, but it all feels casual and awkward instead.
Of course, Lily and Daniel didn’t want to rush anything when they started this, but no one could accuse them of doing that now.
Daniel and Lily are arguably taking things way too slow for a soap romance considering those tend to move at a pretty fast pace.
We also can’t forget about Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and her lingering feelings for Daniel.
It’s clear that Daniel isn’t entirely over Heather either, so their mutual love could be a problem once Heather comes back to Genoa City.
Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) would like to have her family back together, so that’s something that perhaps continues to weigh on Daniel deep down.
Maybe Daniel wants the same thing, even if he’s not willing to admit it to himself yet.
Daniel is trying to focus on his romantic reunion with Lily, but his behavior in the October 4 episode could be another sign of trouble.
Instead of accepting Lily’s invitation to Mamie Johnson’s (Veronica Redd) gathering so she could show him off, Daniel opted to have a meeting with his creative team.
To be fair, Daniel had already canceled that meeting multiple times and didn’t want to let the team down again, but what about letting Lily down?
Since this was clearly important to Lily, maybe Daniel should’ve prioritized Mamie’s meeting instead of offering a raincheck.
It just feels like little things are starting to add up to issues that could snowball into bigger drama on Y&R.
Maybe this is a case of Lily and Daniel trying to recreate the magic of their youth – only for it to not really work now that they’re older and have become different people.
