The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that a familiar face is headed back to the CBS soap – and he’ll be sticking around for a while. Michael Damian is set to reprise his role as Danny Romalotti, so he’ll make a big comeback for a new fall storyline.
Y&R fans can expect Damian to kick off his multi-episode arc on September 28, so it won’t be long until Danny returns to Genoa City and shakes things up.
Of course, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will be glad to see Danny again – and so will Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) assuming she can make time for her grandpa. Some sweet family reunion scenes are undoubtedly on the way.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will hopefully have a chance to catch up with Danny as well. Danny might be able to offer some words of wisdom when it comes to Phyllis and her goal of making amends with her children.
However, many viewers are most looking forward to some new scenes featuring Danny and Christine “Cricket” Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) – especially since Christine and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) are gearing up for a divorce.
Although Christine really tried to make things work with Paul, they’ve drifted apart and want different things at this point. There’s no resolving the strife in their marriage, so it’s best for Paul and Christine to just go their separate ways.
That could open Christine’s heart to finding love again with her former flame, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s in store for Danny and “Cricket” down the road.
It sounds like some great fall drama is on the horizon, so that gives us all something to look forward to once summer winds down.
Are you looking forward to Michael Damian’s return as Danny Romalotti? Are you hoping that Danny and Christine will reunite romantically – at least long enough for this arc to play out?
