However, all signs point to the current drama resuming on Monday, January 1, so let’s talk about what’s coming up in GC.
Since Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) just surrendered to Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) New Year’s Eve kiss, the show really needs to follow up on that.
We may see some uncomfortable moments for Daniel as he struggles with the new secret he’s keeping from Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Although Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) didn’t catch that kiss, she did witness Heather and Daniel all huddled up together on the couch.
Lucy took a picture of Daniel and Heather sleeping under the same blanket, so that pic’s probably going to cause issues sooner or later.
Regardless, Lucy sees the potential for a Heather and Daniel reunion now, so she’ll play Cupid a bit and raise red flags for Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).
Danny will also sense that the vibe between Heather and Daniel is more than friendly, so he’ll quiz Daniel and offer a warning since his relationship with Lily is at stake.
Meanwhile, it looks like fans may finally have a chance to see how Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) coping after her scary showdown with Jordan (Colleen Zenk). Nikki has been through a lot, so it’ll be even more of a struggle to stay sober.
However, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will help Nikki as she detoxes and tries to resist throwing back more alcohol.
Of course, Victor might start by getting all the booze out of the house and eliminating that temptation.
Y&R spoilers say Nikki will remain relieved over Jordan’s arrest, but she’ll still feel pretty discouraged over her sobriety setbacks.
Nikki won’t feel like the easiest person to love right now, but Victor will hold her tight and vow not to abandon her.
That’s great news since Nikki clearly needs Victor now more than ever!
At some point, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will react to updates on everything that went down with Nikki, Jordan and Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) in that cabin.
Cole and Victoria will worry about the trauma Jordan added through that little field trip, but at least Claire proved Jordan no longer has a tight grip on her psyche.
Nikki promised that Jordan would never hurt Claire again, so Victoria and Cole may echo that idea once they have a chance to get Claire settled back in the psych ward.
The week of January 1-5 will also bring an uncomfortable conversation between Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) since Summer’s going to question her about whether she loves Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
