The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, January 16, teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will battle suspicions following Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) conversation with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Victor will act like he was just catching up with Kyle, but Adam will keep at it until Victor offers a vague explanation about family issues – though he’ll mention Adam’s job at Jabot came up.
Adam will point out that he doesn’t fall in line like the rest of his siblings and will rant about Victor always manipulating things.
Victor will talk about how Adam would feel if Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) grew up and turned against him, but Adam will think using Connor is a low blow.
Nevertheless, Victor will hope that Adam never finds out what it’s like to have his son turn his back on him.
Following their movie night, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will head down to the coffeehouse with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) by his side.
That’s where Chelsea and Billy will cross paths with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei), so Chelsea will chat with Daniel while Lily and Billy glare at each other.
Later, Adam will provoke Billy at Society despite Billy’s repeated warnings.
Once Adam riles Billy up about playing Chelsea’s hero, they’ll nearly come to blows.
It’ll be Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) who sends the men to their corners, so Adam will take off while Billy sits back down at the bar.
At Chelsea’s place, she’ll wonder what’s up when Adam stops by out of the blue.
Adam will play it like he just wanted to see how Chelsea was doing, but she’ll think he’s holding back.
After Adam sees the candy and drinking glasses left over from Chelsea’s movie night with Billy, he’ll look displeased.
Chelsea will eventually convince Adam to talk tomorrow if he’s truly got something on his mind, so he’ll leave and let her head to bed.
Once Abby convinces Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to meet with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) one last time and get rid of him in person, he’ll give Tucker five minute to speak his mind.
After Tucker assures Devon that he sincerely wanted to work together, he’ll act like his heart was in the right place.
Devon won’t think that matters when Tucker behaves selfishly and does whatever it takes to get what he wants.
After Devon throws Tucker out, his bio dad will look glum in the hallway.
Although this is bad news for Tucker, Y&R spoilers say he’ll make some updates to his plans and try to regroup soon.
At Noah Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) nightclub, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will tackle a crisis since Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will want to join her mission to steal Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) jewelry.
Diane will act offended that Jeremy doesn’t think she can do this on her own and will point out that trust is a two-way street.
Once Diane convinces Jeremy to let her leave for Chicago alone, she’ll dodge his nightcap offer and suggest she’d better get going on her scheme.
At the Abbott house, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will find out Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) recruited Kyle to sabotage Adam and get him fired from Jabot.
That way, Victor could bring Adam back to Newman Enterprises.
Summer will realize Kyle is actually considering the idea, so she’ll warn Kyle about the risks involved when it comes to working with Victor.
Once Diane appears and mentions her latest Jeremy crisis, Summer will lash out.
Diane will feel confident that she wasn’t followed back to the house, but Summer will argue that she can’t be sure and will feel like Dianee continues to put them all in jeopardy.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will return with Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) necklace from the apartment in Chicago, so Summer will freak out when she realizes it belongs to Grandma Nikki – especially since it’s worth a fortune.
Summer will freak out even further when she realizes Jack stole this to help Diane prove herself to Jeremy.
All of this will become too much for Summer to deal with, so she’ll blow up over the plot and warn Kyle not to get any more caught up in this.
After Summer runs off, Kyle will leave as well and hope he can settle her down.
Jack will give Diane another pep talk and admire the bravery she’s developed, so they’ll make out as they plan on getting rid of Jeremy for good.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane and Jack could get more trouble than they bargained for, so stay tuned.
