The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, January 23, tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have to hide something huge from his inquisitive father. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is usually pretty perceptive when it comes to his children, so he may suspect that Nick’s holding back somehow.
Of course, Nick won’t want to reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is pregnant.
That news will be kept under wraps as long as possible since Nick will know it’s a ticking time bomb – just waiting to explode and cause all kinds of Newman chaos.
Instead, Nick will encourage Victor to talk about a secret of his own.
Victor will offer some clues about a plot that’s in motion, so Nick will grill him about what he’s up to.
Although Victor may not be willing to divulge the details, he’ll be prepared to move forward with Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) quid pro quo and set Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) up to fail.
Perhaps Victor will promise that Adam will make a Newman Enterprises comeback soon and leave Nick uneasy.
There’s rarely any peace when Adam is at the family company, so Nick will have good reasons to be concerned.
Regardless, there’s an important step in Victor’s plan that doesn’t involve Kyle.
It actually involves Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) instead, so it sounds like Victor will have a bold Chancellor-Winters move in mind.
Y&R spoilers say Jill will have to decide whether she’ll go along with the favor Victor’s seeking.
There’ll be a wish that Jill can grant, so Victor will turn to her for help.
Since we know Victor will hope to obtain something that appeals to Adam, trying to acquire Daniel Romalotti Jr’s (Michael Graziadei) gaming project might be an option.
Adam’s going to need a job once he returns to Newman Enterprises, so Victor will need something exciting and fresh.
That could explain why Daniel’s set to get unsettling updates regarding his venture soon.
Daniel may learn his current deal’s in jeopardy before Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) comes along with an alternative solution.
One way or another, Victor will flex his power and use his efforts to manipulate Adam – no matter who else might suffer as a result.
