The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, January 23, teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be pensive over Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) pregnancy news when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) finds him at Society’s bar.
Victor will assume Sally is the reason for Nick’s brooding and will think she could get in the way of his plans for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
After Victor alludes to Adam’s imminent fall at Jabot and return to the Newman fold, he’ll suggest he doesn’t want a sibling rivalry.
Victor will feel like Sally’s going to cause more problems for Adam and Nick, but Nick will be protective of Sally since she’s going a lot going on.
Although Victor will seem suspicious, Nick will act like he means Sally’s new venture and upcoming proposal for Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).
Later, Victor will speak to Jill on a video chat and insist there’s something she needs to know regarding her meeting with Sally.
At Newman Enterprises, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will give Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) updates on her belief that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was responsible for the burglary.
Nikki will assume that Diane had help and will blame Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for assisting with Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) frame-up.
When Nikki rants about wanting Diane in prison too, Victoria will think her mom should stop getting so worked up and let it go.
Afterward, Nick will tell Victoria about his disturbing conversation with Victor regarding Adam’s return to the family and company.
That’ll leave Victoria curious how Victor plans to pull it off and concerned about the inevitable disruption Adam will cause.
At Jabot, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will assure Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) that if he decides to work with Victor to push Adam out, it won’t come back to bite him.
In preparation for a potential deal, Kyle laid out some conditions – like how there can’t be any risk to Jabot and how Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will remain in the dark on Kyle’s role.
Summer will still worry since Adam could figure out he’s been framed and rat Kyle out to Jack.
This will seem like too big of a gamble in Summer’s eyes, but Kyle will admit there’s something else to gain from this arrangement.
Kyle will mention some textile factories that Newman Enterprises acquired at one point.
Victor agreed to give them back to Jabot if Kyle goes along with his plan, so Kyle will be excited over that news.
The resources from these textile factories could make Marchetti unstoppable, so he’ll try to convince Summer this is the way to go.
As Jack and Diane wake up together, they’ll celebrate reaching this point in their journey.
Diane will regret the lies of the past, but she’ll be glad Jack knows the whole truth now and will vow never to betray him.
Once Jack and Diane get dressed, they’ll come downstairs and realize Traci Abbott (Beth Maitlaind) is in the living room.
Traci will offer some lighthearted ribbing about Jack’s late start with Diane and try to trip them up with questions.
Of course, Traci will eventually admit she’s just teasing and will seem fine with Jack’s new romance.
Once Traci suggests congratulations are in order, she’ll hope Jack and Diane get the proper support for their relationship.
Jack will be eager to go public, but Diane will pump the brakes and fret over Jack’s reputation taking a hit.
That won’t bother Jack since he’ll think they can win over the people who matter and ignore the rest.
Even so, Diane will fret over Kyle’s reaction since he previously scolded her for flirting with Jack – and now they’ve done a lot more than that!
Diane will think it’s best to go slow for their sake as well as Kyle’s.
Both Jack and Diane will be in this for the long haul, so they’ll be on the same page about doing it right.
At Newman Media, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will get the wrong idea when she finds Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) in Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) office.
Although Elena will assume they’re plotting against Chancellor-Winters, Nate will fill her in on Audra’s new job.
An apologetic Elena will head to lunch with Nate, who’ll be impressed over her saving a patient that wasn’t expected to make it.
Nate will think they should celebrate at home tonight, so he’ll plan to pop the Champagne and get everything ready.
At the coffeehouse on Monday’s Y&R episode, Audra will toot her own horn to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about her COO gig and how she’ll be sticking around Genoa City.
However, Audra will make it clear that Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) is in her rearview mirror.
When Audra reconvenes with Nate, she’ll mention a contact who could be useful to a pitch she mentioned earlier.
Audra will add that this woman is only in Milwaukee for the night and will be heading to Asia tomorrow.
With that in mind, Nate will seek a raincheck from Elena and opt to focus on work for the evening.
That’ll leave Elena looking bummed despite the reassurance she offers over the phone.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena and Nate have more relationship issues in their future, so stay tuned to Y&R.
