The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, October 2, indicate that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will make a vow to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), who’ll remain torn between trusting him to know his limits and her concerns about his well-being.
Despite Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) attempts to make Victor seem incapable of running Newman Enterprises again, Victor will defend his decision and promise Nikki that it’s all going to work out fine.
Victor may push Nikki to concentrate on her own role at Newman Media now that she’s the CEO.
It won’t be long until Nikki joins Audra Charles (Zuleka Silver) at Society since there’ll be a new assistant applicant to interview.
Hayley Erin (ex-Abby Newman on Y&R and ex-Kiki Jerome on General Hospital) will make her debut in the role of Claire Grace, who’s a bit of a mystery so far.
The show hasn’t offered many details on Claire’s backstory yet, but we know she’ll be a real go-getter who’s eager to make her mark in the business world.
Claire will reveal a few things about herself during this interview with Nikki and Audra, so that’ll give fans a chance to get to know her, too.
Nikki will quickly develop a fondness for Claire and take her under her wing, but could Claire have a shady agenda?
Although Claire will seem sweet and innocent on the surface, looks can be deceiving!
Regardless, no one shows up in Genoa City without problematic secrets, so Claire will undoubtedly divulge some of those as her storyline moves along.
Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will meet up with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) so they can compare notes on their latest confrontations.
Billy will give Jack updates on his faceoff with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and hope the emails Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) supplied will convince Tucker to abandon his Jabot scheme.
Those emails will also leave Jack hopeful about Tucker surrendering, but he’ll share news about using Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) as a backup plan if Tucker moves full-speed ahead.
Phyllis has the skillset to hack into Tucker’s system and find out what else he’s got cooking, so Jack will count on her to take this opportunity to redeem herself if it comes to that.
