The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the show seems to be setting both Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) up for a huge fall. In fact, there’ll be multiple ways for their relationship to topple since they’re so connected both personally and professionally.
Since Victoria is quite smitten with Nate, it’s like he can do no wrong in her eyes. Nate always claims to find Victoria intoxicating, but it seems like he mostly loves the power, respect and trust she gives him.
Of course, those are things Nate didn’t have when he worked at Chancellor-Winters.
Y&R fans will recall how Nate once set up a music festival launch behind Devon Hamilton-Winters’ (Bryton James) back and provoked his fury since Devon didn’t approve.
Devon scrapped the idea in the end and didn’t appreciate Nate making such bold moves without him signing off.
There’s a chance something similar will happen now that Nate’s drunk on power as the interim COO of Newman Enterprises.
That seems like a great way to shake up this story since Victoria and Nate need something that’ll cause some conflict.
Y&R also needs a way to plant some doubts in Victoria’s mind about Nate. It’s time for Victoria to see some giant red flags and realize that maybe all the Nate naysayers were right to warn her.
Victoria is happily letting Nate handle some high-profile meetings and pitches, but what if he pushes it a step too far?
There could be some situation where Nate promises something they can’t deliver and botches a major deal with a crucial client.
Then again, Nate might do a disastrous interview or leak something he shouldn’t. Perhaps Nate could find a way to send stock prices plummeting or make some other costly mistake.
Regardless, Nate has a habit of thinking he’s the smartest person in the room, even when that’s not always the case. It seems likely Nate will go behind Victoria’s back and blunder big time.
Nate honestly doesn’t have enough corporate experience to be acting so confident in the COO position, even on a temporary basis.
Sooner or later, Nate may do something that causes the company to crash and burn, so Victoria may have to do major damage control to fix it.
It’d be nice to see Victoria rip into Nate for once and scold him for some unauthorized decision.
Nate might realize even Victoria has her limits when it comes to the power that she’s willing to dish out!
