The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) could have a marriage proposal in the works soon. Following Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) advice to solidify his relationship with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and take things to the next level, Nate might decide to pop the question.
Of course, officially moving in together would be another option, but Nate has proven that he likes to move fast. There’d be no better way to solidify this Y&R romance and kick it up a notch than to propose marriage.
Once Victoria gets back from her emergency business trip, Nate might plan a romantic evening that’s full of surprises. At the end of it, Nate could get down on one knee and ask Victoria to be his wife.
Then again, we wouldn’t be surprised if Nate skips the “on bended knee” stuff. It’s easy to imagine Nate giving some big speech about how they’re on equal footing.
Nate might skip that tradition and act like he knows it’s not the kind of thing Victoria would want. Regardless, Nate may pop the question sooner rather than later and stir up some major Newman drama in the process.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) doesn’t have as many concerns as Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) when it comes to Nate, but he might still worry that this engagement is happening too quickly – that is if Victoria accepts the marriage offer as expected.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) would deal with some fears of her own, but it’s protective Nick who would totally flip out over Nate proposing marriage so soon.
Nate could rile Nick up even further, but he might decide it doesn’t matter as long as Victoria wants to head to the altar with him.
If a marriage proposal indeed happens, Nate will also have to contend with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and anyone else who feels the need to step up for Victoria’s sake.
Although Nate does care about Victoria, he’ll have ulterior motives if he follows Audra’s advice and rushes into a big commitment like this.
It’ll be Nate’s way of cementing his place alongside Victoria at Newman Enterprises, which sounds greedy and self-centered rather than romantic!
