The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is digging quite a hole for herself, so she’ll need some help climbing out of it. Phyllis joined forces with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and pretended to suffer a grim fate, so she’s surely going to face some serious backlash once the truth’s exposed.
Of course, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will probably be first in line to berate Phyllis for deceiving them.
Since Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has had to stand by and watch Summer grieve, he should also put Phyllis on full blast.
However, Nick has proven that he’s willing to forgive the women in his life, especially if they can show him that they’ve learned from their mistakes.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) did some pretty despicable things in the past as well – and that includes scheming against Nick’s own daughter!
Even so, Sally has grown and changed, so Nick’s willing to look beyond her shortcomings and previous blunders.
Nick may be able to get past Phyllis’ horrible behavior too, especially since he knows how much Phyllis and Summer mean to each other.
It’s easy to imagine Nick being the first to forgive Phyllis and doing his best to help her make amends with Summer.
That’s the kind of thing that could bring Phyllis and Nick closer, particularly since the show’s setting up Sally’s reunion with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Who is Nick going to be paired up with once his romance with Sally fizzles?
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is busy gearing up for a new Y&R love story with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and may not be available anytime soon.
Phyllis, on the other hand, could use a real love interest after all the Jeremy drama winds down.
Nick has been mulling over his relationship with Phyllis over the years, so all that nostalgia and regret could reignite something between them once Phyllis returns from the “dead.”
Nick may go from one controversial dating option to another since his family is against him dating Sally, but they might be even more against him dating Phyllis after her lies are exposed.
Whatever the case, Phyllis will be desperate to get someone on her side again, so maybe Nick could soften quicker than others.
