The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) could land at the center of some major drama. As Nick watched Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) cozy business meeting at The Grand Phoenix, he certainly looked suspicious.
Of course, Nick’s suspicions only grew when he crossed paths with Nate later by the elevator.
Nate made up a story about having an argument with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and deciding to crash in a hotel room, but Nick didn’t appear to buy it.
Instead, Nick seemed to think Nate was headed up to find Victoria instead – and he was right about that.
However, things could get tricky since Nick probably assumes Nate and Victoria had a steamy hookup.
That was obviously Victoria’s plan, but Nate only went up to decline her offer in person and insist he was committed to Elena.
Since Nate doesn’t want to wreck his relationship or make things messy at Newman Media, he felt the need to turn Victoria down.
Even so, the optics on this aren’t great since Nate lied to Nick and then went up to another woman’s hotel suite late at night.
To make matters worse, Elena already fears Nate’s bond with Victoria could be crossing the line.
What’s going to happen if Elena gets a whiff of what happened at The Grand Phoenix?
It could lead to Elena assuming the worst just like Nick did – and it may be tough for her to believe Nate’s version of events.
Although Nick probably won’t want to get in the middle of all this, he may decide to get involved anyway.
That’s especially true if Nick perhaps overhears Nate swearing his total devotion to Elena.
It’d be simple for Nick to catch Elena in a moment alone and alert her to some troubling news.
All it would take is Nick mentioning the argument and hoping everything’s OK since Nate crashed in a room at the hotel.
That could get the wheels turning for Elena and make her realize Nate lied to her.
If Elena ends up confronting Nate, he may admit he indeed visited Victoria’s hotel room and rejected her offer to sleep together.
The fact that Nate even kept this offer a secret could rile Elena up, but she may also doubt that he truly walked away.
Elena doesn’t trust Nate, so Y&R fans know he’s going to land in hot water over any deception.
Nate is keeping secrets about the kisses he’s shared with Victoria and just how interested she is, but Elena may think he’s hiding a full-blown affair!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena may put Nate through a grilling session and struggle to believe his new side of the story, so stay tuned for updates on all the conflict.
