The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will head back to AA and admit she’s relapsed again. It’s been a struggle every day since Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) insane plot destroyed Nikki’s sobriety and blew up her life.
Fortunately, it’s not too late for Nikki to get back on the wagon and move forward. That’s exactly what Nikki will try to do, but she’ll need some help along the way.
Of course, Nikki will have Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) backing her up, but she’ll find support from someone else as well.
That brings us to some comings and goings news since Brian Gaskill has joined the cast of Y&R as Seth, an intriguing man who’ll cross paths with Nikki in AA.
Nikki seemed like an outsider the last time she went to an AA meeting, but talking to Seth may help her feel more included this time around.
It could be a good way for Nikki to fully embrace the program if she’s got Seth to lean on and hold her accountable.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Seth is a good guy at his core, but he’s had to overcome some big mistakes he made as a result of his alcoholism.
It sounds like Seth will become an excellent confidant for Nikki and help her see that she’s not alone.
If the writers really want to get soapy, then maybe Nikki could cheat with Seth! That would definitely be an interesting way to shake things up for Nikki in the new year.
However, it could just be a situation where Seth becomes a great friend and someone Nikki comes to rely on platonically.
Nikki has enough problems without adding infidelity to the mix, so maybe she’ll stay devoted to Victor.
Whatever the case, Brian Gaskill will make his debut as Seth soon, so fans will have a chance to see his first interaction with Nikki.
Although Gaskill is new to Y&R, he has plenty of soap experience.
Gaskill has played roles on All My Children, the General Hospital spinoff called Port Charles, The Bold and the Beautiful, As the World Turns and Guiding Light.
It’s been 15 years since Brian Gaskill was on the set of a daytime drama, but now he’s making his big comeback playing Seth in Genoa City.
