The Young and the Restless Spoilers Recap: Monday, August 28 – Sally Ditches Adam for Nick Funded Business – Devon to the Rescue

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, August 28, reveals that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will stop by the tack house so she can comfort Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) over Aria Porter-Copeland’s (Maddie and Millie Ingle) hearing loss.

Tessa and Mariah will admit to worrying themselves with Internet research, but they’ll know they need to wait and hear what the specialist says. Sharon will also offer updates on some of the snags with the merger now that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is trying to be top dog.

After Sharon leaves, Tessa will get an idea that she hopes will help ease their minds about Aria and will make a phone call. Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) will eventually show up to answer hearing loss questions based on his own experience, so Mariah will pull him into a hug.

Once Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) make love, Sally will admit she has something to ask Nick. When Sally wonders if Nick’s offer to fund a business for her is still on the table, he’ll give her an enthusiastic yes.

Sally will decide to go break the news to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) that she won’t be working for SNA Media and will hope to reveal a business plan to Nick soon.

At the ranch, Adam will meet with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and pitch himself as Newman Media’s CEO after the merger’s completed. Victor will assume Sharon and Nick aren’t fans of this plan, but Adam will act like they’ll come around.

After Victor objects to Adam’s brazen methods, Adam will lash out over Victor suddenly agreeing to the merger after Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) approved. It’ll leave Adam wondering if it was some backhanded way to punish him.

However, Adam will agree to back off since he’ll assume Victor’s going to come to his senses and put him in charge eventually.

Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will hear about Adam’s desire to run Newman Media while Nick and Sharon work under him.

Instead, Nikki will suggest putting Sharon and Nick in charge while Adam slides in the COO spot.

At Society, Nick will meet with Sharon, who’ll suggest maybe they should back out of the whole deal and do their own thing when it comes to Kirsten Incorporated.

Nick will understand where Sharon’s coming from, but he’ll also point out that it could lead to legal drama since the merger is mostly completed.

Although they could fight it, Nick will urge Sharon to consider the possibility of retaining her original vision for Kirsten Incorporated with Adam and Victor still in the picture.

When Victor arrives, he’ll approach Sharon and Nick to reveal that Adam just pushed to become Newman Media’s CEO. Nick will hope Victor turned Adam down since a) Adam doesn’t deserve it and b) Nick will walk if Victor indeed puts Adam in charge.

Sharon will insist she’s with Nick and will express concern about how Kirsten Incorporated fits in all this.

Once Victor reconvenes with Nikki later, he’ll fill her in on Sharon potentially pulling out of the deal. Nikki will start to wonder if this whole headache is worth it for Victor and won’t see how this is benefiting him.

At Crimson Lights, Adam will be surprised to learn Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) is the new manager. Esther will explain that she’s helping out since Sharon will be so busy with her latest venture.

Afterward, Adam will meet with Sally on the patio, so he’ll be disappointed when she reveals she’s not accepting his job offer. Sally will admit she’s letting Nick fund a business for her instead, but Adam will think that’s a mistake.

Although Sally will act like Nick’s going to be hands-off, Adam will suggest Nick’s only going to pretend that’s the case. According to Adam, Nick won’t be able to resist getting involved since he shares that trait with Victor.

Back at Society, Nick will tell Sally about how messy the merger has gotten and will consider bailing on it to help Sally with her new venture. Sally will clarify that she’s just looking for an investor – not a partner.

With that in mind, Sally will want to make an agreement that she’s running the show when it comes to her new business. Otherwise, the deal will be off.

At Crimson Lights again, Nikki will mention to Esther that Sharon’s own venture might be falling through. That’ll disappoint Esther since she had big plans to improve the coffeehouse with live music, menu additions and other changes.

Later, Esther will fret to Sharon about her not needing help anymore, but Sharon will insist everything is right on track. In fact, a grinning Sharon will think things look even better than they did before.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will overhear that last comment and look worried about what Sharon might be cooking up. CDL will have other fantastic Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so make us your favorite Y&R hotspot.
