The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 7, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will stop by the Chancellor mansion and complain to Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) about the vague language in Diane Jenkins-Abbott’s (Susan Walters) post-nuptial agreement.
Billy will argue that Diane could still walk away with a significant chunk of Jabot if she divorces Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). To eliminate the danger, Billy will want to make a bylaw that says Diane can’t get a seat on the board for at least 10 years.
Billy will push for Abby’s support since he needs a majority vote, but she’ll fear he could start another feud and will insist she’s softened toward Diane lately.
Abby will fill Billy in on Diane saving Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) life, but that won’t impress Billy much. Although Billy will once again push Abby to come to his side and help protect Jabot, she’ll urge Billy to count her out.
At the Abbott house, Jack will warn Diane about the trouble Billy could cause. In fact, Jack will hint that he’ll need Diane to step up and help him if he has to let Billy go.
Diane really won’t think it’ll come to that and will suggest that even if it does, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) should return to Jabot and replace Billy instead.
Jack will contend that it was Kyle’s choice to leave the family business, but he’ll trust that Kyle will always be on their side and protect his mom.
At the Newman ranch, Kyle will lie to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and back Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) up about their romantic involvement being over.
Although Nikki will push Kyle to work things out with Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier, he’ll insist it’s not happening and will invite Nikki to fire him if she must.
Nikki will accept Kyle’s choice regarding his marriage and decide to let him stay on board at Newman Media, but she won’t know what position he should hold yet.
That said, if Nikki finds out Audra and Kyle are inappropriately involved again, she’ll vow to replace them both! Kyle will reassure Nikki that it’s not going to be a problem.
At Society, Audra will give Nate updates on Nikki’s ultimatum and will act like she quickly put Kyle in the rearview mirror. After Audra suggests that her career comes first, she’ll claim she doesn’t want to jeopardize her job over a fling.
Nate will still want Audra to promise she’ll behave when it comes to Kyle or else she could make him look bad. Nikki will enter and overhear that last part, but Audra will cover and act like Nate just wants her to keep bringing her A-game at Newman Media.
After Kyle texts Audra to meet up in the park for lemonade, she’ll smile and fib to Nikki about it being an inside joke from a friend.
Next on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Kyle will run into Abby and lash out at her when she tries to ask about his marital woes. Kyle will act like Summer was holding him back and will claim he enjoys not having to answer to anyone.
Abby will worry that Kyle’s just letting the pain build up inside, but he’ll insist he likes taking risks and devouring life. Kyle will make it clear that he’s happy with way things are going before taking off.
At Jabot, Billy will show up and ask to speak to Jack alone, so Diane will make herself scarce. That’ll give Billy a chance to talk about the stipulations he wants to make regarding Diane’s role at the company.
Jack will be offended and will think Billy’s got some nerve even bringing this up. However, Billy will stand his ground when it comes to it being necessary to protect the family business.
Afterward, Billy will speak to Diane and acknowledge that he has no qualms about her love for Jack. It’s Diane’s position at Jabot that Billy has an issue with, so he’ll rant about how she’s going to want more input and power – things that Jack will freely give her.
Billy will feel like he’s the only person who’s seeing the situation clearly and will assure Diane that he’s going to protect the company.
At Crimson Lights, Kyle will grab some lemonades and bump into Billy. When Kyle realizes Billy has issues with Diane, he’ll warn Billy not to mess with his mother.
At Jabot again, Jack will take a phone call from Abby, who won’t want to alarm him. Even so, Abby will feel the need to warn Jack about the disturbing discussion she just had with Kyle, who may be headed down a troubled path.
When Diane pops up, she’ll seem concerned about Jack’s phone conversation.
Back in the park, Audra will text Kyle that she’s waiting for her lemonade as a suspicious Nate spies nearby.
Kyle will join Audra and hand over her drink before suggesting they’re just two innocent coworkers meeting up. Audra will get news regarding Kyle’s meeting with Nikki as they agree to behave themselves whenever they’re in public.
After Jack calls Kyle and summons him to the Abbott house for an important meeting, Audra will be left alone. Nate will approach her after spying and point out that he had a feeling that she was lying to him.
Now Nate will have confirmation, so he’ll rant about Audra lying to Nikki as well and will warn that she’s playing with fire.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate will worry that Audra’s going to blow things up, so stay tuned to see if his fear will become reality!
