The Young and the Restless Recap: Wednesday, July 19 – Kyle’s Confession Devastates Summer – Phyllis Out on Bail

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 19, reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will meet up with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) to see if she’s given his proposal any more thought.

Regardless of whether Sharon lets him partner up with her at Kirsten Incorporated, Adam will make it clear that he’s done with Adustus International and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Nevertheless, Sharon will push Adam to fight his usual impulse to lash out.

Since anything other than a true merger would make Sharon look weak, she won’t be interested in teaming up with Adam in any other way.

Although Adam will seem frustrated, Sharon will try to convince him to see the value in sticking around at Adustus and moving forward with this merger. The best revenge will be success as far as Sharon’s concerned.

Afterward, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will flirt with Sharon and try to convince her to skip work for lunch in the park. Sharon will have to take a raincheck, but it’ll be obvious that she’s really feeling the flying sparks along with Chance.

Once Sharon opens up about rejecting Adam’s latest offer, Chance will support that decision. When it comes to Adam acting rationally instead of emotionally, Chance won’t think Adam’s got it in him.

At the ranch, Victor will meet with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to remind them that he’s running things however he sees fit.

Although Nick will still be on board with pitching in at Adustus, he’ll have concerns about Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and won’t like the fact that he was pushed out of the Newman Enterprises’ COO spot.

Victoria will act like she’s fine with the changes, but Nick will suggest that’s because she got everything she wanted.

When Victor pushes Nick to go talk Adam into staying at Adustus, Nick will seem skeptical of that plan working. Victor will have faith in Nick to persuade his brother, so he’ll send him off to find Adam.

As for Victoria on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, she’ll talk about doing what’s best for Newman Enterprises and following in her father’s footsteps.

Victor will hint that Victoria should be careful since she might not like what’s in the mirror, but he’ll ultimately give her a hug and admit he’s proud of her.

In the park, Nick will cross paths with an irate Adam, but he’ll feel like it’ll be a lot easier to save two struggling companies than to go up against Victor.

After Nick makes a strong pitch about the benefits of him working with Sharon and Adam, he’ll hear frustrated acceptance in Adam’s voice. Adam will decide to skip all the rage and get back to work, so he’ll shake on the deal with Nick.

At the athletic club, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will spot Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) talking to Audra Charles (Zulekya Silver), so she’ll interrupt and hope she can speak with her husband alone.

Kyle will assure Audra that this won’t take long and will vow not to be late for his first day at Newman Media.

Once Summer sits at a table with Kyle, he’ll wonder how he’s supposed to get past her betrayal.

Summer will argue that she didn’t act with malice and will suggest a betrayal is when someone acts with the intention of hurting the other person.

Kyle will realize Summer is implying something, but she’ll keep fighting for their marriage – that is unless Kyle tells her that there’s definitely no chance and he’s crossed the point of no return.

Since Summer has shared her truth, she’ll insist it’s Kyle’s turn.

When Kyle tries to cut the conversation short and leave, Summer will push him to at least be honest about whether he slept with Audra since he owes her that much.

Kyle will resist answering at first, but Summer will finally get him to confirm that he indeed slept with Audra. Summer will feel like an idiot for fighting so hard when Kyle had already moved on.

After Summer suggests she’s glad she knows there was never any hope, Kyle will reply that he guesses not. When Kyle asks if they’re done, Summer will slap him across the face and walk out.

In the park, Audra will cross paths with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), so they’ll do their usual routine of trying to push each other’s buttons.

At Society, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be out on bail when she arrives and faces stares from several patrons. It’ll leave Phyllis eager for all this to blow over since she won’t like feeling all the shame.

Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will act like Phyllis is lucky to be out on bail at all and won’t be surprised she had to surrender her passport.

Once Phyllis talks about trying to make amends to Daniel, Summer, Kyle, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and even Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), Daniel will wonder if this new evolved act is for real or for show.

Phyllis will insist she’s a changed woman, but she’ll face more guilt when a miserable-looking Summer arrives. Summer won’t want to talk about her marriage problems and will want to focus on Phyllis’ defense instead.

Phyllis will point out that unless they can get the charges dropped, she could be looking at serious prison time. Summer will warn that can’t happen since all this can’t have been for nothing.

When Tucker walks in, Phyllis will share a look with him and nod in his direction, so Daniel will question what’s going on between them. Phyllis will insist she was just saying hi and will act like there’s nothing going on at all.

After Phyllis once again pushes Summer to open up, Summer will wonder if Phyllis is going to fake her demise and ruin all their lives if she doesn’t.

However, Summer will quickly apologize and will assure Phyllis that she doesn’t mean that before taking off.

In a moment alone with Tucker, Phyllis will ask what he’s doing there. Tucker will pat himself on the back for scoring Phyllis’ freedom and will want to know her plan since she has to keep her end of the bargain.

When Phyllis fails to provide any details, Tucker will warn that he could still make EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) disappear and ruin her defense tactic.

With that in mind, Tucker will give Phyllis another chance to tell him how she plans to make Jack forgive her and get under Diane’s skin.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will have to play by Tucker’s rules, so stay tuned for updates on this alliance and the stunning news it’ll bring.
