The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) proposal could backfire big time. Since Victor feels like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has become a constant source of Newman brother drama, he’d like to get her out of the way if possible.
That’s the reason for Victor’s May 2 offer to fully back any business endeavor for Sally – just as long as she builds that business outside of Genoa City and surrenders her baby to the Newmans.
Sally has always had an independent streak, so she’s not looking for a handout from Victor.
Since Sally has been so reluctant to embrace financial help from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), it wouldn’t make sense for her to accept Victor’s money now.
That’s especially true since Sally had such a difficult childhood and has struggled with abandonment issues.
It wouldn’t make sense for Sally to want her daughter to feel abandoned by her mother either.
However, Y&R spoilers say Sally could start to worry about Victor’s influence, especially since both Adam and Nick have put so much emphasis on this baby being a Newman.
It’s easy to see how Sally might get spooked and bolt!
Sally might start to fret over the idea of Victor turning Nick and Adam against her. Victor has a great deal of control over his family and often flexes his power.
Since Victor has been known to get involved in custody battles and try to manipulate the outcome, Sally might get scared of what’ll happen if she stays in town.
Could Sally decide to vanish before the baby’s even born? That might put Adam and Nick in a situation where they have to team up for a frantic search.
Maybe Nick and Adam will realize they’re both invested in bringing Sally home to Genoa City.
If Sally goes missing with her bun still in the oven, Adam and Nick may put their heads together when it comes to tracking her down.
Will Victor’s offer scare Sally into going on the run with her unborn child?
Victor may have to make some updates to his strategy if he wants to ever be part of his granddaughter’s life, so stay tuned for news on what’ll happen after the baby’s birth.
