The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have a change of heart. Despite initially rejecting Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) job offer in the July 25 episode, it looks like Phyllis will decide to accept it later on.
During the week of July 31-August 4, Y&R spoilers say Phyllis will tackle a new challenge.
That certainly fits with the idea of Phyllis building and running Adam’s IT team, which is what he’s hoping for.
Of course, this decision will mean more than just working for Adam.
It’ll mean joining forces with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) on the merger as well, so that’s bound to bring some tension at first.
Phyllis hurt a lot of people with her decision to fake her demise, especially the daughter she shares with Nick.
It’s going to take some time before Nick can get past all the pain Phyllis put Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) through.
That’s especially true since Summer’s marriage has completely fallen apart.
Summer feels like her relationship with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may be over forever, so Phyllis can’t just magically undo all the damage she did.
However, history has proven that Nick’s a forgiving guy when it comes to the women in his life.
Nick also knows Phyllis on a deeper level than just about anyone, so he may reconnect with her sooner than you might think.
After Phyllis mulls over Adam’s offer and this opportunity to get back in Nick’s good graces, she’ll apparently decide to go for it.
Phyllis could use something to distract her ahead of the trial – and if it leads to Nick potentially forgiving her, then that’ll be at least one person she has in her corner.
Perhaps Phyllis will hope that Nick can help her truly make amends with Summer at some point, too.
Nick has a romantic past with Phyllis, so Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) could find herself feeling threatened and even somewhat jealous if they bond again.
Phyllis and Nick could be working together quite a bit thanks to this Adustus International and Kirsten Incorporated merger.
The more time Nick spends with Phyllis, the greater the chances of them possibly reuniting.
