The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) unborn child could be in grave danger. Sally was already at risk for preeclampsia and had been ordered to take it easy, but things seem to be getting worse instead of better.
In the June 15 episode, Sally is admitted to the hospital after experiencing some severe pain in her side, so there’s the potential for something to be seriously wrong.
This is turning into an extremely difficult ordeal for Sally, who may struggle through a high-risk pregnancy only to lose this baby in the end.
It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that a soap went for the drama of loss instead of the joy of a family addition.
Of course, we should also mention that Y&R Head Writer and Executive Producer Josh Griffith wrote the storyline involving Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) death.
Griffith has always been quite proud of that story, so he doesn’t mind killing soap kids off for drama’s sake.
Will Griffith put Adam and Sally’s baby on the chopping block in hopes of creating his next masterpiece?
It wouldn’t be surprising if Sally and Adam’s daughter didn’t pull through since things feel so ominous.
A miscarriage is defined as a spontaneous loss of a fetus before the 20th week of pregnancy. After that 20-week mark, it becomes a stillbirth medically speaking.
Sally is in her second trimester, so she may be headed for a stillbirth – or this could even turn into a situation where she has an extremely premature baby.
Adam and Sally may have to watch as their preemie ultimately doesn’t survive.
Regardless, Sally may not get a chance to raise her daughter with Adam, so that could leave her devastated.
This tough pregnancy struggle may end in tragedy and change everything about Sally’s future.
