The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has some rough days ahead of her now that her dreams of motherhood have been dashed. Of course, Sally could have another child someday, but that obviously won’t console her while she’s still mourning this specific loss.
Things are going to get much worse for Sally before they get better.
It’s easy to imagine Sally’s grief driving her off the rails, so she could have some sort of mental break as she tries to handle it.
Y&R fans know Sally previously spent some time interacting with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) baby at Crimson Lights.
Sally watched over Aria Porter-Copeland (Millie and Maddie Ingle), so she knows this little girl and could do something wild.
What if Sally can’t deal with the trauma of losing her baby and somehow convinces herself Aria is her daughter with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)?
It wouldn’t be the first time a soap character has had some sort of breakdown after a lost child.
This would be a great way to tie several characters into the same exciting storyline.
Mariah and Tessa don’t really have a story at the moment other than being new moms, so it’d be interesting to throw this kidnapping crisis at them.
Aria might disappear from her crib and leave Tessa as well as Mariah frantic.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) adores her new granddaughter, so she’d panic over the news too and could get pulled into all the drama.
Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) might realize Sally is missing and perhaps pick up on some clues – like a dropped pacifier or baby blanket.
Maybe Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) could get in on this as well and make it a mystery for the Newman brothers to solve together.
Of course, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) would be involved as a detective and as someone who cares about Sharon.
If Sally loses it and steals Aria, it could create a massive search for them both.
In the end, Adam might catch up with Sally and share a tender moment as he gets through to her.
Perhaps Adam could make Sally see that Aria isn’t their little girl and belongs with her adoptive mothers.
Sally could do a stint at a mental health facility and start getting her life back on track at that point, but the show has the opportunity for a kidnapping plot in the meantime.
