The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will need to recover following her C-section and loss of her baby girl. Sally will need some time to heal physically and emotionally, but she could latch onto the idea of a second-chance child.
Of course, Y&R fans can tell that Sally is dealing with a lot of pain and anger right now.
Sally feels a void in her heart that only Ava Hope Spectra can fill, but that won’t stop her from trying to plug it up in other ways.
It’s possible Sally will be scared of having more children, but it’s equally possible that she’ll be a little too eager to get another bun in the oven.
Sally might become obsessed with the idea of doing things the right way this time – starting by picking the right father in her eyes.
Will Sally deliver some shocking news to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)?
Since Nick is Sally’s partner and the man she currently wants a future with, she may tell herself that the pregnancy will be less stressful with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) out of the picture.
It’s easy to imagine Sally bringing up the idea to Nick and suggesting she wants to get pregnant just as soon as her doctor clears her to do so.
That would obviously be many months from now, Sally may want to nail down some family plans in the meantime.
Although Sally could never replace little Ava, she’s got a baby-size hole in her world – and that could make her push for another baby sooner rather than later.
Adam is already devastated since he feels responsible for Ava’s demise and Sally’s fury over that decision.
It’ll add to Adam’s heartbreak if Sally begins pushing for a new baby with Nick instead.
However, this could end up being like when Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) wanted a new baby too soon after the birth of “Bowie” aka Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).
That was a little different situation since Mariah was a surrogate, but she still felt a sense of loss when she was forced to hand Dominic over to Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway).
It left Mariah too enthusiastic about bringing a new baby home ASAP, so Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) had to pump the brakes at first. Sometimes it’s just about waiting until the right time for family addition.
Nick might also land in a situation where he has to slam on the brakes and push Sally to focus on herself for a while.
Regardless of what happens down the road, Sally needs time to heal her body as well as her mind and heart.
Nevertheless, Sally will be going through a rough ordeal, so she might even ask Nick to consider adopting with her if she feels it’d be less risky and speed the process along.
