The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) could face a medical crisis soon since many pregnant soap characters do. It’s almost a rite of passage for a woman expecting a child to have some sort of miscarriage scare, so let’s think about how that might play out for Sally.
Y&R writers have potentially already been laying the groundwork since Sally’s doctor warned about her high blood pressure.
Sally doesn’t need to be stressing out over things, but that’s all she’s been doing ever since she found out she had a bun in the oven.
Of course, Sally’s stress got even worse while she was awaiting the paternity test results – and then she got stressed over the news that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was her “baby daddy” instead of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
However, Adam has vowed to back off his romantic pursuits and focus on being the best father he can be, so Sally seems to be feeling a little better about this co-parenting situation.
Unfortunately, Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) threats and attacks on Sally aren’t going to help matters.
Sally and Summer’s rivalry will reignite due to Sally’s relationship with Nick, which Summer will obviously view as a mistake that needs to end ASAP.
Between Summer’s antagonizing and the plan she’ll have cooking up with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to split Sally from Nick, there’ll be more chances for Sally’s blood pressure to spike.
At some point, Sally may collapse and have to be rushed to the hospital as everything finally catches up with her.
The weight of what Sally’s dealing with could leave her overwhelmed and potentially lead to a miscarriage scare.
Naturally, that doesn’t mean Sally has to lose the baby.
A false alarm would be enough to bring out Sally’s maternal instincts and make her feel more connected to the child she’s going to bring into the world.
Adam could also become a protective father and voice his outrage over Summer’s stressful antagonizing.
Although Adam was actually pretty calm about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) plotting against him with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he won’t stand by and let Sally face constant attacks from Summer.
Adam could lash out at Summer before Kyle gets involved as well.
Kyle might defend Summer only to wind up dragged into this war with Adam, who definitely won’t mess around when it comes to Sally and his unborn child!
Once Adam gets updates on Summer’s treatment of Sally, he may blow his top – especially if it leads to any kind of danger for Sally and the baby she’s carrying.
