The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) recently went on a rant about how Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) belonged together. As far as Adam’s concerned, Sharon will always be Nick’s true love.
Adam has brought this up on more than one occasion – partly because he’d much rather be the guy romantically involved with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
However, Adam may have a deeper understanding of Nick and Sharon’s relationship than the two of them realize.
Could Adam be onto something when it comes to this idea of “Shick” being a true love match?
Sharon and Nick certainly have a rich history to draw from – and now Y&R’s put them working side by side on this merger project.
Nick and Sharon will continue to deal with Adam’s drama, but they can bond over trying to keep him in line.
Sharon is definitely excited about this business opportunity, but could it spill over and bring an opportunity in her personal life?
Although Sharon enjoys hanging out with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), they’re still in a stage where they’re having fun and just getting to know each other.
With Nick, it’s different since Sharon knows him so completely. Sharon and Nick have been a huge part of each other’s world for as almost as long as they can remember.
Adam may have his own agenda when it comes to hoping Nick and Sharon will reunite, but that doesn’t mean he’s wrong about their intense connection.
Sharon and Nick’s friendship could turn to love again depending on where the writers want to take this storyline.
Sally has fallen for Nick, but she seems to be struggling with the idea fully committing to him in any serious way. That could be a red flag and point to a breakup happening in the end.
Of course, company-related trips will be required as Sharon and Nick move forward with all their merger goals.
Nick has already been out of town on business, but he may have to take Sharon with him the next time around.
It’s easy to imagine that leading to some hotel temptation for Nick and Sharon down the road.
The show could even go for the classic trope of there being some mistake with the reservation – resulting in only one bed in a shared room.
Even if Sharon and Nick can resist that temptation, it could stir up some familiar feelings. Will Nick and Sharon ultimately feel that true love spark that Adam keeps talking about?
